Round 13 vs Sandringham
Williamstown vs Sandringham
Date/Time: Sunday July 4, 2:00pm start
Venue: Trevor Barker Oval, Cnr Beach Road & Hampton Street (Melways Ref: Map 76 F8)
Reserves:
Williamstown vs Sandringham
Date/Time: Sunday July 4, 11:10am start
Venue: Trevor Barker Oval
Williamstown travel to Sandringham to take on the Zebras at the Trevor Barker Oval on Sunday June 13.
The Seagulls are back on the winners list with an 18 point win over Springvale. With other results falling favourably, the Seagull's now find themselves 4 points outside the 8.
The trip to Sandringham will be one of the toughest the Seagull's face for the year. Sandringham were very impressive with their victory over Port Melbourne on the weekend, a victory that places the Sandy only percentage off top spot.
The Seagull's will need to play at their very best to overcome Sandringham and stay within striking distance of the eight. It is a tough and daunting task, but not one beyod the realms of possibility.

An absolute pumping.
Being a point down at 3/4 time, an upset was on the cards, but Sandy kicked home with the breeze to kick 11-6 to NIL to run out 73 point winners.

Sandringham: 1.4.10 ~ 7.7.49 ~ 8.12.60 ~ 19.18.132
Goals: Kinnear 6, Jarrad, McGough, Mullins.
Best: Crow, Kinnear, West, Maxwell, R.Shaw, B.Shaw.
Reserves:
Williamstown: 1.2.8 ~ 6.7.43 ~ 8.15.63 ~ 11.17.83
Sandringham: 3.6.24 ~ 4.6.30 ~ 7.8.50 ~ 12.8.80
Goals: Morrison 4, Knight 2, Pearce, Laverde, Lawry, Benson, McEwan.

I didn't get to the ground until mid way thru the third quarter, and by the time I had decided where I was going to sit, it was 3/4 time.
I didn't take notes, but I think Billy kicked one in the last to help Williamstown out to a 27 point lead, but Sandy then pegged them back and almost snatched victory.

Notice any of these fellas in the short amount of the 2's you saw.
20 Hollow, Brendan
7 Gowers, Kurt
3 Ralph, Scott
38 Cape, Matthew
49 Palmer, Ricky
58 Neeson, Shaun
29 Ashton, Brian
28 Chiu, Anthony
45 Fanning, David#
44 Leonard, Zane#
40 Hall, Brent*
53 Lee, Garry
21 Puhar, Steven
27 Male, Brenton
50 Tavelangi, Tevita
48 Butler, Adam
59 Grossman, Matthew
26 Crawford, Ryan
54 Watts, Ricky
57 Handreck, Richard
56 Maher, Stephen
Good to see Dukes playing, 2's are certainly getting some depth back, Theodore, Knight, Sheehan are all deserved of being in the 1sts. McArdle, Pearce, McKenzie and big Billy will all be pushing for a ones spot.
Like the finals rule, does the 12 players include rookie listed players (Crow), currently have 14 Collingwood players in the 1's (inc. Crow). Chance for Andy Williams to go to the 2's anytime??
