When a known problem resurfaces at a later more crucial time ie. McG's kicking and nothing has been done - where do you go Cam? oh and by the way I'm not much of a delister - but if that sequence of play didn't get your black and white collar hot then maybe you CAM should go support another club! Cam you always seem to have all the perfect answers - we actually lost by 6 points not 2. But anyway Cam I like the picture of you better than the Dr Who cr@p
Life is very short and there's not time for fussing and fighting my friends!

Hmmmmm the game I watched, we lost by 6 points. It was a loss.Cam wrote:Come on. We missed some goals. We lost by 2 points. Turn that margin around and everybody would be heaping praise on a gutsy effort.
Why don't you delisters delist the whole club and go support other team that has 22 perfect players.

hmmm... perfect answers eh, my wife would definitely disagree with that one.
I won't tell you what i screamed at the TV when McGough kicked...
They've all got their problems. From Buckley's facial expressions all the way down to how-the-#$@$ did Keneally get loose.
When O'Loughlin nails his goal from outside 50 on the boundary, and we miss set shots from 30. You are just asking for trouble.
I think we need some guys in the 2s, but i'm not getting hysterical about it.
Oh, and if failure permits no alibis, how do you explain a woman you know falling pregnant via intro-fertilisation with your sperm, without you knowing, until you do a DNA test and find out you're the biological father?
Yer ok, 6pts *shrugs* Maybe i should be delisted for remembering the point total wrong...

OK. We lost and that hurts.
I'm sitting here in Canberra listening to it on the radio. Every time a Sinney Scum does something, wow! the comentators go mad. Whenever Collingwood does something, the Umpires are having a bad night.
I swear, if I hear someone say Eddie or anyone else is biased towards the Pies, you will hear the repercussions from the Capital. The home town bias on Sydney, Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane radio is breathtaking. And to hear them whinge in the press during the week that Eddie might have inhaled or exhaled at a particular moment, STUFF THEMMMMM.
Please don't hammer our guys tonight. I saw McGough deliver a lace up pass to Buckley in a situation where centimetres were diamonds. Sure, the "professional" commentators ragged him later when he erred. But hells bells. Look at anyones stats for a game and consider the pressure they are under. He did well and so did the rest of 'em. Even the Coach was working overtime by changing match-ups and was catching Roos out quite often by some slick bench action.
Yeah we lost. But you know what? We are still the best bloody club in the comp!

another honourable loss?
You could not question our endevour(few times we looked soft though)
Our skill level(something i have been saying all season) lost it for us tonight I can not believe how good buckleys disposal is compared to the rest of the team. If rowdy is our skills coach we need more work Gav.I have not given up just yet but if we lose to Hawthorn it's season over.

I dont think you can teach better disposal. I think your kicking style is pretty well established by the time you get to afl.
What you've got to do is draft people who can already kick.
Imagine how many hours c1 & McG put in to kicking practice & still ......
On the other hand Stewie Loewe was a shocker early on & improved so there's a bit of hope.

Haven't seen the game ... Oh that's right, I live in country Queensland.
Someone mentioned Rocca should have been in the goalsquare in the last quarter, cripes as I've said a few times that's exactly where he should be for 80% of every game.
I'd hate to say it but we are turning into another Western Bulldogs ... honourable losses, inaccurate kicking, promising young list ... But at the end of the day the season was as good as over after the first 8 rounds and we have only been competitive since then. Lets face it, we were absolutely underdone for the first 40% of the season and you're very unlikely to make the finals coming into a season like that.
Dale you are spot on, we now have to focus on the kids playing and get excited about that as we build for 2005.
A few have mentioned Lonie played well, where did he play?

Well to say I feel completely gutted would be an understatement. We even got help from the umpires and still couldn't finish it. It's not impossible for us to make the finals but 2004 just isn't our year, as a team we aren't ready yet.
Just a few observations:
Davis - Missed a goal a child would have kicked. Always seemed to be around the packs but rarely won a contest.
Shaw - Did he sit most of the game on the bench again? Would rather see him play than Leon right now.
Johnson - Did he spend the whole game on the bench too? Because I don't remember seeing him get a touch at all. Whats the deal there?
Presti - Also cost us a goal when he duffed a kick in defence that was recovered to Hall for a goal. He's not the Presti he used to be, is he still carrying an injury?
McGough - How can an AFL player kick that badly.
Clement was brilliant once again, and thought Buckley played a great game too.
We probably would have won the last two games with Tarrant but it just shows how inflexible we are at that position, especially when Brisbane can stick any player at full forward and they end up with a bag of goals.
As for this idea of an "honorable loss", a team of winners won't make excuses like that.
