Have no idea if mick wanted us to lose the game... the way he coached the game was downright disgusting.... Ben Johnson (our best player this year) was on and off the bench, giving him no time to have an impact or get into the game.... maybe there were other factors, an injury maybe, but i doubt it, i think it was just plain stupid by the coaching comitee...
Apart from our coaching staff, the players did well...

Clement was best on... Woey, Lica, Holland and Bux were good, Lonie and Cole were also good..

Lockyer showed signs of being "scared" to get hurt, he pulled out of a few contests, and didnt go hard enough at the ball..

Wakelin was hammered by Hall..

Rocca looked slow, maybe he wasnt 100% fit.

R.shaw again given little game time, he should have got more..

J.Cloke, i dunno really, he just tries hard, but he cant seem to do anything right,...

cheers.

just gotta keep going? how can you? Would Tarrant have been the difference again? yes, as he would've been last week. Who can they rub out next year? Why stop at one? This was a dabarcle of a game - we would'be won if we had've kicked strait, damn there were some important misses, but with interstate umpiring like it always is, how can you even compete? We got a few frees after taking marks (about five) and how many ni our forwrad fifty? compared to how many? about 0 to 3, so that's three goals to them. I almost fell off my chair when Johhno got the free late in the last. The third quarter was so biased - the umps are lucky the Swans didn't have too much of the ball or they would've called 50 frees for them, that's why the stats are in our favor :P. not quite a repeat of the Brisbane game umpiring - ignor the stats (I have no idea what tehy are, but they're always lies), look at the game, one goal the difference, and it's our season gone.

Big wrapps to Lonie, Rocca (after quarter time), Clement, Presti (when he was on the ground - presented in every position tonight) Leon Davis did enough, McGough when he was on the ground, Cole at the end, bits and pieces. Locks and Burns did bits all night, Buckley super performance, boy have we missed that, 10 possy third quarter against he best tagger in the league, that's why he won the brownlow.

you cannot blame the umps for that loss. Too many underachievers in black and white. That is where the buck stops.

...what else can you say. We had our chances and blew them. McGough on the run, Lokan at the end of the 3rd quarter, lack of accountability... it make you tear your hair out.

+: Clement was as good as always, Buckley very good, Lockyer showed signs hat he is finding his feet at AFL level once more. Richards and C.Cloke showed more good signs.

-: Jason Cloke, Johnson, Davis and Lokan. All below par.

If only...
-Tarrant wasn't suspended...
-Fraser hadn't have rushed his kicking for goal in the last quarter...
-Kennelly hadn't been allowed to run free...
-Lokan and McGough had goaled from kickable distances...
-Rocca hadn't just sat in the goal square for the last quarter...

Please delist McGough - he ran into an open goal and did what Mick told him that he would do - kick like a crab!! - Anyone who thinks he knows better than the coach (McG at the start the year re his kicking!!) should be delisted.

Stinky McGough you stink!!!
Life is very short and there's not time for fussing and fighting my friends!

At least something good will come out of this - Shack, Brayden and Heath to make their senior debuts, with the recall of Nixon, Mullins, Maxwell, King, Swan, Walker and McKee.

The down side - the return of Williams and Kinnear, even if just to say goodbye.

Come on. We missed some goals. We lost by 2 points. Turn that margin around and everybody would be heaping praise on a gutsy effort.

Why don't you delisters delist the whole club and go support other team that has 22 perfect players.
Get back on top.

In a nutshell Mr Burns 17. Davis, Lokan, Didak, Shaw (harsh but true), O'B (when playing) all under perform. When crunch time comes, they aren't up to it.

The loss hurts. It really stings. At least we know most of them were playing their hearts out and I comment them on their efforts.

The season is all but gone. We'll be back next year - with unfinished business.

i will repeat here what I posted elsewhere but seems to have disappeared. We cannot carry two small forwards like Alan Didak and Leon Davis. Their performances in must win games are not good enough. Together in the same team is a disaster. Davis - get in front for God's sake.
