Thomas Sims @ 47
Charlie Nichols @ 50 ~ Central District/South Australia – FWD, 197cm ~ The tall forward moves extremely well for his height, able to get into great spots with his leading patterns inside 50, and the ability to push higher up the ground and make use of his kicking in transition.

If we can manage both Sims and Nicholls with what we have, take it and run.

^^ also, Gabriel Stumpf at 52 is highly rated by many as a key forward for Collingwood. We have options. Leppa has done a good job so far. He will pick just the right player(s).

By their phantom draft SEN don't even think Charlie West deserves recruiting. The fact that we've shown such interest in West may mean that we take him with one of our later picks. Instead of picking up Sims, maybe someone like Malakai Champion (172cm) would suit Fly and our culture more?

It's such an open field I doubt anyone knows what's going to happen beyond pick number 16.

^ I think the SEN phantom draft is the least accurate of them all.

So does DTM! He has always been excited about the draft and future prospects.
I term the current Collingwood attack based strategy “Unceasing Waves” like on a stormy and windy day with rough seas. A Perfect Storm ☔️

He is Eagles NGA, so they'll match a bid later in the draft

The Adelaide Advertiser has this bit of info Collingwood has been strongly linked to West Australian bolter Hamish Davis, a 190cm forward-midfielder from Claremont who has drawn comparisons to Nat Fyfe and particularly caught the eye with his performances playing in the WAFL seniors late in the year. Davis could well find a home earlier, but would certainly come into calculations for the Magpies if he doesn’t.

Collingwood has also expressed a desire to add some taller timber, but will have to wait and see who is available later in the draft. The Pies are big fans of 197cm South Australian Charlie Nicholls and have been linked to another Claremont player – key defender Clancy Dennis – who battled injury issues this year but is viewed as a high-level talent.

From fox footy

But the Magpies, after a busy trade period last month, will be hoping to find a few diamonds in the rough with Picks 52, 55, 60 and 66 — selections that’ll all come in after father-son and academy bids. One player they have been linked to is Norwood forward Jay Polkinghorne, who kicked 15 goals from six SANFL Under 18s games before a successful step up to reserves level that saw him boot eight goals from five games. He kicked 2.2 from 17 disposals and eight marks in Norwood’s reserves premiership win over Sturt.

Never thought I'd hear of a guy called "Clancy" playing AFL...he must be tough. I heard he has a brother called "Sue".

What's the bet that we don't go tall timber with our first pick?
