Unfortunately Clayton Oliver has a drug / mental health problem that does not appear to be going away any time near enough for Collingwood to consider bringing him into the club. It is a huge problem for Melbourne since he has another 6 years on $1M per year contract. I think that Petracca has made it clear he will want out of Melbourne if they don't improve their culture which includes getting rid of Oliver unless he can kick the drug habit he has.
The trade value for Oliver has plummeted in the past 18 months to a point I think Melbourne would pay part of his salary to off load him from their club.
I surprised that Geelong would even consider him as well as Bailey Smith who also has a history of illegal drug use. How they would possibly fit both into the Geelong salary cap is a mystery that the AFL should investigate. Smells worse than the contract Chris Judd had with Visy after he moved to Carlton.

I can see Trac asking for the move next year, but how much footy is he going to play in 2025? Will be lots keeping an eye on his upcoming season.

Given Trac's health issues this year, I reckon we should get AIA to sponsor him and then everything will align perfectly and we can continue to follow the GFC playbook

^ That's using the old noodle. And then the AFL shut it down as only Geelong businesses are allowed to benefit.
