Kennedy would have been a bargain at 38 but in the end we couldn’t trade out another future and probably needed to hand over a couple of picks in the 50s or package up. However do we need to take a couple of selections in the draft or possibly upgrading rookies?

Most of the time I’m full of though!
I just love this club.
Don’t think we wanted to trade anything else for Kennedy otherwise the cupboard would be bare next year. I’m rapped with Houston and Perryman regardless

^Me too.
I just thought Kennedy would compliment Daicos and relieve pressure on Pendles/Sidey. Whilst also getting one back for Heath Scotland.

Oh yeah, I wanted Kennedy, would’ve been a good fit for our midfield. And to get one back at the scum lol

Bytel, Eyre and Krueger haven't been offered new contracts for 2025.

Yeah so this is how the cookie is crumbling.
I’m surprised re Kreuger and Eyre given their age and versatility but no doubt their bodies have struggled for long periods of time. I hope Eyre stays with the VFL team but would understand if he moves on.
Membrey doesn’t strike me as versatile. Tomlinson does. I was more a fan of Tomlinson before he left GWS.
Wonder who Leppa picks

Ed Allen kicked our last goal of the year at the 58minute mark of the last quarter

Re: Trade Targets ~ Free Agency & MSD player discussion
Our current senior list stands at 32 senior players- started the year with 36 players but have lost Murphy, Noble, Richards, Krueger.
We have added Perryman and Houston since season's end.
Our Rookie list was 6 players, but now we have let go Bytel and Eyre.
We can have up to 38 players on the Senior list and 6 Rookies.
This means we can add 4 more senior players (3 of whom must come through the Draft in November)
We can also add 2 Rookies...
I would suggest Membery and Tomlinson will be added to the Senior list perhaps one of them as a Rookie??

I was happy with his performance this year to give him another 12 months.Jezza wrote: ↑Thu Oct 17, 2024 1:11 pm Lachie Sullivan has signed a 1-year extension.

Melbourne has delisted Tomlinson. We may look at him for defensive depth.

Re: Trade Targets ~ Free Agency & MSD player discussion
Why not, we can certainly have experience on our list. If we can have Ash on our list for 12 months I don't see why Tomlinson can't be, I know which one would give us a better return in the VFL and AFL.stui magpie wrote: ↑Thu Oct 17, 2024 4:13 pm Melbourne has delisted Tomlinson. I'd like to move Reef to the rookie spot and open up his senior spot for a second DFA. Get Membrey and Tomlinson on the list now. Then look at the third guy (Hayes) as a rookie draft selection.warburton lad wrote: ↑Thu Oct 17, 2024 1:06 pm I would suggest Membery and Tomlinson will be added to the Senior list perhaps one of them as a Rookie??
