Pies should get up
The game is being played at Homebush, a big ground where the Swans do not play that well, they do a much better job on the SCG. If Sydney are serious about the finals they should make Stadium Australia their homeground, the finals are not played on the SCG anymore and it is more akin to the MCG in terms of dimensions etc.
Pies should get up, don't forget that in 2000 and 2003 the Pies have beaten the Swans (they didn't come to Sydney in the intervening years). I don't think the Sydney fans will be as abundant as last year, especially if it rains. Don't forget, Swans fans are mostly from the rich Eastern Suburbs and North Shore and will probably prefer to stay at home to watch the rugby test.
I expect Rocca and Woey to have big games and Pies to win by 37.

I still reckon Rocca got that goal
We didn't get our 40 acres and a mule
But you're my piece of the rock
And I love you CC

The weather forecast for Sydney, Saturday is dry and fine with a top of 17C. Just as predicted earlier in the week. Stop hoping for rain guys, told you it wouldn't!
Today's "Hun" says Rocca will be back, which is very good news.
I'm looking forward to seeing the teams tonight. I think MM will go for the very best possible team he can put on the park, and we don't look like having too many "unavailable" players, so almost a full list to choose from.
This is simply our 2004 GF three months early. There can be no arguments with this one. We stuffed up last week and must win this week.
This is it, guys.

Don't see the point of playing Davo this year really. Great news if the knee has recovered though. Can do some really heavy work on it on the track and put in a massive pre-season.
If he re-injured it this year that would be his career. I wouldn't risk it until next season after a solid half year of full training.
Onto this game, its time for our fringe players to step up and take some of the load of our core players shoulders. Fraser, Didak, Cole, Lonie etc really need to put in for the rest of the season and Rocca still owes us plenty. 5 goals Saturday night would be a start.
Very possible win if we are on. We have the edge in the midfield and our defence has been solid. Time for some of the forwards to produce. If we can kick 13-14 goals I think we will get over the line.

Agreed, tank; Davidson has far too much potential to be risked again this year. The guy needs to get over his reconstruction, do a massive pre-season and set his sights on a permanent position in the forward line next year. If he's sensible, and manages to come back fully fit, our forward line will start to look awesome. It is time we had a forward line to fear which gets other sides intimidated by the mere thought of having to cover all our guys.
