Trade Winds: Harry Perryman
Update on Harry Perryman - his brother confirmed Harry's toured the AIA centre.
Pies have tabled an offer to him.
Good thing is he's an UFA.
Family pushing him to go to the Pies, they're nuts Collingwood.
Hasn't been happy with GWS for some time.
He looks as a more mature version and upgrade on Noble.
If we land him, we're then going to be in the box seat to then lure Matthew Kennedy across. The pair won back-to-back flags with the Collingullie (town just outside of Wagga Wagga) Demons in 2014 and 2015 and regularly travelled back and forth to Sydney while at GWS together.
The AFL trade period begins on Monday, October 9.

I'd be very happy to get Perryman. And if it helps get Kennedy, that would be a big win for us.

Laurie I heard our presentation included meetings with coaching staff and footy department
He was told we are super keen to get him into the midfield along side Nick
Tour of facilities was led by Darcy Moore Nick D and Pendles
He was shown some vision of what it feels like walking out in front of 90,000+ at the MCG a few times a year

Perryman, Lord and Kennedy would immediately make us better.
Although Lord is somewhat of an unknown quantity, his 4 goal performance in a final showed what he is capable of. Would be a good get imho.
Hopefully we can snag all three.

Re: Trade Winds: Harry Perryman
That’s a really good question !
I watch a shed load of games every week and after all this time, he’s still one of the few players I feel as though I don’t have a read on. He looks like he does his job every week but he doesn’t stand out doing it.
What we do know, is that a lot of clubs have shown keen interest in him and of course that’s magnified because there’s no trade involved.
He’s versatile and durable and attacks the contest hard, so there’s a reasonable start.
He’s no match winner but I think we can safely say he would be part of our best 23 somewhere on the ground. No trade required is always appealing but that in itself places his salary value as overs because you’re bidding against other clubs.
While he doesn’t solve our key defence issues, if the club see him as a strong two way midfielder, then he’s making life easier for our existing defence anyway.
There’s still plenty to play out yet but obviously Collingwood rate him highly ( cue the Shultz analogy )

Seems like a good fit if he opts to join us, and the fact that he's a free agent helps a lot.

In other words: we don't need to cough up a vat of KY jelly to advance trade negotiations...
