INSIDE ACCESS: McRae, Fagan ride the emotion of 2023 GF classic

Post by piedys »

As we are still the Reigning Premier for another week or so, until we surrender our so hard fought 2023 title to the next bunch of frauds, I implore you all to have a look at this clip from AFL website:

INSIDE ACCESS: McRae, Fagan ride the emotion of 2023 GF classic:

https://www.afl.com.au/video/1223932/in ... gf-classic

I've just finished it, and am emotionally exhausted all over again. I need a cuppa!
The use of alternate angles, rare footage and other unseen off-camera and behind the scenes vision and audio, is excellent.

So it's one more week of revelling in the past peeps, then we have to look to the future and up our game, and list....

Fagan's conduct post 2023GF was exceptionally composed and sporting, so I'm letting 2002&2003 go, just this once for a brief amnesty, for Chris.

Thanks Piedys - really enjoyed that - hadn't seen some of it before. Was cool to have the coaches dialogue through the game.

Sounds great, will check it out later. Yeh time to move on, our Cup is in the cabinet, its done, thank Gawd we won, Im ready to move on, now, next season, much to look forward to,easier fixture, we wont lose first 3 matches, wont have that horror run with injuries, a fit firing De Goey, Checkers, Harrison back, some new recruits, with a good run, should finish top 4, as Cats did this season, after their down yr of 2023. Hope springs eternal hey.

At first I though Fagan's comments were made after the fact but no... how calm is he. And his comments in the box, at the end, when the siren had gone.
I hope the Lions win this weekend.

Looking at that.. our body language, our mood, you can just tell it carried us over the line.
We were upbeat. Lions were quite reserved I thought.

I don’t know how others feel watching that video but I still feel so stressed watching it.
Maybe it’s the emotions I had watching the game live but still can’t believe we won.
The character we showed to keep retaking the lead at times when Brisbane had momentum.
So good to have that Premiership in the bank

Yes. Longmire lost me with his attack on McFly. (Could claim McFly started it, but if that was an attack, it was an attack on the umps, not Syd.)

Obviously Longmire feeling the pressure of losing GFs and winning "only" one. (Media say he needs another to cement his coaching rep.)
