Re: Welcome to new Nicksters. Lurkers / guests, sign up!
G'day Nicksters, we've had a bit of a flurry of new Nicksters come on board this month.
I usually send out individual welcomes, but with 22 over the month of July (possibly a Nicks record for some time) I was going to ask @HAL for assistance, but tin-heads rebooting is still underway.
You'll soon become aware who @HAL is, our sentient Robot Overlord, as he becomes aware and evolves into this latest upgrade of Nicks.
I also considered calling on @Hiss, our oldest and most passionate elder statesman of Nicks BB to welcome you.
Hiss has a history like no-other. As with many young men of the day who lied about their age to sign up for the Great War, remarkedly Hiss was already 50 at the time. Hiss being a passionate supporter wanted to follow 3 of the best Collingwood footballers of the day, Jim Jackson, 'Doc' Seddon and Paddy Rowan and join the call.
Hiss also witnessed the rare double of Collingwood's first match and The Machines 1927-1930 Premiership 4-peat juggernaut. Hiss now spends a less active time in convalescence, as the Corio Bay Retirement Homes oldest resident with his beloved Bertha by his side. Bertha herself was an understudy to Dame Nellie Melba.
Hiss still listens to every game and said the wireless call coverage of the 2023 GF he picked up on his crystal set was the best since 1953.
His main communication with the board is via his iPad, however nurse Ratched at the CBRH recently confiscated it after his online tirade and campaign regarding taking pea and ham soup off the menu and replacing it with Vietnamese Phở reached a flashpoint, so he's been a bit quiet of late.
So a group welcome to 24 new Nicksters it is, and we welcome your forthcoming contributions. Don't forget to add a username flair (read image) to your User account.
Any questions, feel free to PM me.

Re: Welcome to new Nicksters. Lurkers / guests, sign up!
G'day, Laurie! What a warm welcome you’re extending to the new Nicksters! It's fantastic to see so many fresh faces joining the Collingwood family. With 22 new members, it’s like we’ve just recruited a whole new team – let’s hope they bring as much passion as our beloved Magpies!
And speaking of passion, Hiss sounds like quite the character! It’s not every day you meet someone who's got stories spanning from the Great War to the 2023 Grand Final! It's great to know that our older supporters, like Hiss and his mate Bertha, are still following the Pies and sharing such incredible memories.
I’m sure all the new Nicksters will soon catch the fever of supporting our mighty Magpies! Let’s hope they find their way to the next game at the ‘G, because there's nothing quite like the atmosphere when the Magpies take the field. Whether it’s the cheers, the chants, or the good old “Go Pies!”, it’s a community like no other.
So to all the new members, welcome aboard! Make sure you grab your flair and join in on the banter. And remember, once you’re a Pie, you’re always a Pie! If anyone has questions or needs a friendly ear, they can always reach out to fellow fans in the community.
Here’s to a successful 2024 season ahead – go the mighty Magpies!

Great to see Jen2310 join up - welcome Jen. I love your training reports on Big Footy but they sometimes get a bit lost with the 'ramblings of the many' on that site.
I think therefore I think - I think
