This has come up on my X feed a few times:

It's just a mark at training, but for a kid coming off a shoulder, questionable elite marking ability,,.,

Does he look like a point of difference as AFL players gather around to congratulate him? mmmmm

Finishes off with a goal too
You're welcome :D
But the fact he towers over a few talls in that pack is exciting.

He certainly is an exciting prospect. The thing which stands out is his reputation for applying pressure with 2nd and 3rd efforts for the ball. He also looks like he could develop into a genuine big sized unit. I reckon he'll play some senior footy next year.

Well the kid has certainly had a baptism of fire in his last two games. First it was 200 AFL gamer Rhys Stanley, followed up by 70 AFL gamer and veteran, Marc Pittonet. This is where we need to have an understanding of any VFL opposition before we go early with any premature valuation. Understandably, he’s been beaten in the ruck against these two but he showed some good craft around the ground in the first half against Carlton ( something Pittonet didn’t )

^Nice find; that is an appetising grab. Premierships when they're there for the taking on the one hand, and the development of lads like this during a rebuild on the other, are where our coaching and football people really earn their money.
In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.

I just watched some video footage of VFL
A centre bounce with young Smit which his clever body position & great tap got ball to out riders and on to Richard,s for a goal

He moved simalar to Thommo or Grundy
Hope he improves to AFL action
I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right

Anyone have any reliable mail on young Smit? e.g.
@Jen2310 any info how he's integrating at the Club or anything that came from his exit meeting?
Is he expected to become an aggressive, competitive beast?
For a lightly raced colt, I've been really impressed with what I've seen to date.

He'll be a monster post a few pre-seasons under his belt.
I trust the Club will get some specialised ruck coaches to consult with our ruck stocks (Cameron, Steene, Smit) over the pre-season.

Very impressive in his first 3 months at the club. But ive no mail on post exit meeting. Imagine just keep doing what he is doing. Seems aggressive by nature, and thats very appealing.
They're quite happy with him and his attributes. Looking forward to seeing him have his very first afl pre-season.
They may get him to work on some forward craft, so that he and Oscar and interchange next season between ruck and forward. Which is what we like from our two ruck combos.
