Watching him and Sidebottom getting burned off by opponents in the wet shows that. I dont care about personal records. They have both been excellent servants of the club but the time has come. 2024 should be the last season for both of them.

Fantastic achievement but unfortunately I can’t see them playing to much more together.

I'm just going to enjoy them for as long as they're still playing.
Two legends of the club that deserve our adulation.

^ Agreed - we are not going to see their like in the famous colours again. Pendles is now 6th all-time on the AFL games list. Sidey is clear inside the top 50, as well. They are the only Collingwood players in the top 60.

Steele's first goal yesterday was typical of the spark the two have given Collingwood over their entire careers - he started the chain at half back and kept up his hard running to get on the end and dob the major. It's a shame a few more of the younger players don't display the same repeat efforts these two have shown for 16 seasons. Class and hard work - Pendles and Sidey have demonstrated both in equal measure.

300 games together is a tremendous achievement and should be recognised
Pendles is also the only player in the games history to play in front of over 20 million people live throughout his career.
Pendles will go down as not just one of the greatest players to ever wear the black and white but arguably to ever play the game.
Reaching 400 games doesn’t automatically give you the right to be talked about in the top echelon to ever play the game (no offence to Harvey but he’s never mentioned for being a all time great of the game with the likes of Leigh Matthew’s)
Longevity is a great thing and as time goes by with the advancement of medical protocol and personal health awareness there might be a player to play 500 games but as of now let’s celebrate what is the greatest 400 games ever played in 2 weeks time

Lots to look forward to in 2025.

If Jack Crisp can play in the next 8 (7 to equal) consecutive games, he will pass Jim Stynes record of 244 consecutive games. (A further 6 games would see him play more than 244 at Collingwood).

Round 1 will also be Crisps 250th AFL game. If he plays 20 games he will reach 250 club games.

If Scott Pendlebury & Steele Sidebottom play in 3 more games together, they will pass Andrew McLeod & Tyson Edwards (307) for most games as teammates.

5 more games for Pendles will see him go to third for Most Career Games. He is currently 23 games behind Tuck in 2nd place and 29 behind Boomer in 1st. Missing games during this season as well as missing the finals will cost him a chance to reach 2nd spot in 2025. So he will need to go on in 2026 if he is to pass the all time record.

If Sidebottom plays in 19 games, he will reach 350. A feat reached by only 24 others in history.

Jamie Elliott is 6 games away from his 200th. This will be an amazing achievement after those injuries earlier in his career.

JDG and Moore can reach 200 games early in 2026 with WHEs 200 club games and 250 career reachable if he plays on in 2026. DC will reach 100 career and 100 club games in 2025, with Beau able to reach 100 games early in 2026.

BUMP

If Crisp is to pass Stynes, he needs to get to the game against the Cats in round 8 without missing a game. Getting to Anzac Day will be to equal 244 consecutive.

It'll all start with his 250th AFL game against GWS in Round 0.

If he can get to the Game against StK in round 15, he will also pass 244 for one club.
