That last quarter constantly kicking it to a contest and having it turned over.

Would be nice to try something different.

Same issue as last week.

The opposition stop us from playing our pressure game by playing keepings off with a high uncontested marking game.

Just never up for it this season. Blew all our luck last year (except Nick's Brownlow). Thank God we won the flag last year because I can't see us winning again for a very long time. This team is done - not just for this season. It must be rebuilt now. No point busting a gut to win anymore this year. Get as good a draft pick as possible (or did we trade away next year's first round pick on that spud from Freo? - sorry, but that and the getting rid of Ginnivan goes right to the top of bad trades in our club's history).

So many things done wrong this year. Reality check in a BIG way. Our only interest now is making sure the Blues or Dons don't pinch a flag. But I think Brisbane will probably win now anyway.

Disappointing.

Coach needs a Plan B cause when we don’t bring the pressure, or when the oppo play the short kick game we’re screwed.

Injuries killed our year.

Just not good enough, whether it’s our older players nearing the end, injuries or a combination of both, our season is done.

HE did a lot of good early, but for me, the turning point waa the WHE gaffe with our man ahead in front of goal when he held on to the ball instead of passing and then kicked it straight to the Geelong defender resulting in a rebound goal to them. In another unuverse we get that goal and kick on from there. Oh well, I thanks the footy gods every day that we got that premiership whole we are in the window.

Last qtr showed the difference. AFL qualify side against too many VFL players.
How good were they keeping the ball off us? Just no answer, Krugs tried hard but he’s not the answer. Couldn’t kick long to a fwd to create a contest and then our small fwds couldn’t make a contest.
The rest of the game we had a crack but just didn’t have the fwds.
Nick Daicos was awesome until the corkie, didn’t have the same impact afterwards.
Pretty flat but was never confident we would get the job done.
We’d have to come home like GWS last season but we don’t have the cattle and when they all come back they’ll be underdone. Put a line through 2024 and have one last crack with this list next season and then goodbye to some champions as we turn the list over..
The match day thread is for unfiltered BS knee jerk reactions. The time for level headed comment comes after.
