The Toughest Run Home
Homicidal or suicidal? Either way we have the toughest run home of any team. To even make the eight this year will require a minor miracle.
Essendon (even money game)
Geelong (even money game after their bounce back)
Hawthorn (no way Jose Romero we're beating this mob in their current form and against that curse)
Richmond (thank God one guaranteed win)
Carlton (sorry, this is their year)
Sydney (not beating them at the SCG!)
Brisbane (unless they lose form all of a sudden the Lions will be out for revenge)
Melbourne (well at least a win going into finals - if we make it)
The best we can do is get 4 wins (3 most likely), but this year that will not be enough.
What do you think?

This run home is just what we need to prime us for b2b.

Essendon is not an even money game, they were belted by a team making up the numbers
Geelong are not a genuine threat and if we are any good its a game we should win
Hawthorn, meh, in form? Have you seen who they've beaten in that run? Not a single finals team amongst them.
Richmond, easy peasy
Carlton, Meh, we own them,
Sydney, We'll be due a loss, but if Freo can beat them they're not invincible.
Brisbane, its the MCG, when is the last time they beat us there, 2003 GF? Plus their form? They beat a terribly out of form Melbourne by 5 points at the GABBA...
Melbourne, Nice chance for a rest before finals.
Is our form great? Hell no, but the bye has come and gone and we're on the home straight. The problem is people getting worried about 'form' when teams play the bottom sides...It's the same ridiculous narrative that Geelong were unbeatable when they beat 11-18 on the ladder in the first 7 rounds... Then they finally played some top 8 teams and suddenly no one is talking them up as a serious threat.

Sorry, I dont get the point of this thread, if we are good enough we will win, if we are not...well we will get what we deserve.
no point wringing our hands or reffering to any game as "easy win" remember the North game!.

I think we lose this Friday night v essendon i hope im wrong but they will be smarting from thier performance v cats.
They will be out to make a mense.
We then belt the cats.
Another epic close battle v hawks.
Richmond the gimme we all had to have finally.
Carlton should get 100k at the MCG another epic battle awaits this time i do think the Blues have the edge.
Sydney see carlton.
Beat Brisbane in the GF replay at the MCG.
Then rattle the Dees at the MCG.

For the record i don't think Richmond are the easy beats everyone is saying, they were right with Carlton for three quaters.
If the team takes the attitude of some of the posters on here, we end with with another North game.
Not sure when people will learn, no such thing as an easy game.

Tend to agree with this post. Should have best freo with half a team on their home deck. Kick straighter and we hang on against the scraggers on their home deck with a cobbled together team. Our best is plenty good enough - and while I agree we haven’t exactly shown 4 quarters of our best in the last couple outings, I’m optimistic we can beat all those sides playing football that is within our capability.derkd wrote:Sorry, I dont get the point of this thread, if we are good enough we will win, if we are not...well we will get what we deserve.

We also have one more game away from the ‘G for the rest of the minor rounds.
But sure, if you think we’re gonna lose them all you may as well turn your focus to the draft and next years pre season…
It's never as good/nor bad as it seems...
