Yeah this. It’s not really working especially with the cattle we have.Daicosesque wrote:Johnson and Macrae see you later! We can kick 8 goals in the first half and then defend for the second half!
What game plan is that???

That’s what happens when you miss 4 gimme goals in the first quarter.
Frustrating game.

It's about time we seriously recruited some key forwards Derek Hine!
Your talking crazy talk...this is Collingwood, we take the best available midfielder with our first, second and third round pick... and the best key forward at or under 190cm with our 3rd or forth rounder!
Get with the program:)

Would be great to get a centre clearance, perhaps then we might kick a couple of goals...doriswilgus wrote:We ran out of gas in the last quarter.Just too much talent out of the side and the young players who came in were badly exposed. It’s also hard to win games when you basically have no structure on the forward line. It’s absolutely killing us at the moment.
Carlton sucks.......
It's always disappointing to lose a game, especially one where we led for most of the night. However, we must all face up to the fact that we had too many VFL standard players in our team tonight, who lack the skills, decision-making and polish required at this level. Our massive injury toll was bound to catch up with us and tonight it did.
I'm not sure we can win another game until we at least get Checkers and JDG back. Hopefully, in the meantime we don't fall too far behind and can string successive wins together in the back half of the season to get us into the 8.
So let's not be depressed or too disappointed. The good thing is we have so many great players set to return in the coming weeks, so we've got enormous improvement to come.

You need to make the most of your opportunities in front of goal.
Letting them back in when we should’ve been up by 4-5 goals.
This fkn hurts, I hate the WB, they’re my most despised club!

Bont best player in the AFL; bar none. What'sinaname wrote:Goalless in the last.
When it mattered, Bont and Treloar stood up.
All Treloar did was get cheap out the back kicks all night.
It was us vs. The Bont all night; the rest of them are front-running grifters.
As for the <snip>I've had a serious gutful of their cheating over the last two weeks.
e.g. Welfare player flies for infringed speccy; play on, nothing to see here from the shitbags.
Bobby Hill flies for speccy, while the sluts have their whistles in their cock sucking mouths before he even hits the ground.
While BT, Richo and mung Hodge go quiet until the next welfare charity free.
NEVER seen so many soft free kicks given to the opposition in front of goal in my 40+ years of watching the game, while we get f^ck all at our ends.
No idea why Ed Allen didn't get another run this week either. Shameful.

I think the issue is our entire fwd line is out. Markov played as a fwd. They have excess is the fwd department!Raw Hammer wrote:Fly promised us more Rocca this year.
All I see is more safe as shit Presti garbage.
Dogs were missing Naughton, Weightman, Libba, Richards, Smith… yet we want to blame OUR injury toll? Pathetic.
Sickening result.
If we’re not careful we’ll be North’s first victim.

Hang in there, folks. No need to overrate their mature-bodied mids running over Nick and Josh and a few youngsters, for goodness' sake. That simply doesn't happen with Pendles and Jordy in the team, and some centre bounce Cox-blocking (Cameron was knackered, and Cox is our go-to for stifling the opposition by dropping the ball in tight at his feet, allowing players like Josh and Nick to break on the outside.
We also get more conventional lead-mark-goal sequences with Checkers and Jamie, bolstering our score across the game.
As annoying as it is to lose, that's still a good perfprmance in the circumstances. You can't control a very thin list much better than we have, and just have to wear these times in the overall scheme of things.

Got what we deserved tbh.
No point busting your gut if it just gets squandered in front of goal with misses from directly in front of goal. Symbolic of our season really.
Same fantastic performances by Naicos, Cameron, Jaicos, Bruz and Lipinski but unfortunately too many others totally stuffed up all of their good work particularly in the first half.
Atrocious kicking is atrocious football and that’s what we dished up tonight.
Gameplan 10/10
Effort 8/10
Goalkicking 2/10
