Longmuir was an assistant to Buckley for a few years.derkd wrote:Funny...I was just thinking...and I am sure it is no coincidence..Freo's game plan feels very Buckley ..handball handball ...go sideways...cough up ball...go sideways... do everything BUT go forwards..crabwalk slow garbage.
If freo had a better coach i have no doubt given the list they would be a far better side...and given tonight we would be down alot more.

The five day break is coming home to roost I think. I thought this one was going to be a tough ask from the moment I heard the news JDG was going to be out.
Some sloppy goal kicking - why would experienced forwards like Mihocek and Hill rush easy set shots? Same goes for Sullivan - he had a bit of time too.
McCreery continues to be way off his best this year and his lairizing that quarter cost a turnover goal. His actual positive output is way lower than it should be.
I dont think we are far off but we need a second tall forward option. Freo's tall backs are having way to easy covering just Mihocek at the moment.
Dean is doing okay I thought, tho Allen hasn't found the pace of the game yet. As a result we cant be too critical of his first game effort - he is having a go at least. Harvey and Richards are both making noticeable contributions
i know there is really not much point moaning about the players tonight due to the five day break but we need to get on our bikes third quarter or this game might be gone.

We've all heard that a million monkeys banging on a million typewriters will eventually reproduce the entire works of Shakespeare. Now, thanks to the Internet, we know this is not true.

Unfortunately Beau not think good…a side effect of drinking too much of your own bath water I suspect. Whereas Sullivan is over thinking it ATM…can’t decide whether to go the man or the ball and ends up with neither…and then not confident what to do with the pill when it ends up in his hands.derkd wrote:Beau ...great run...you had an open player to handball to...you kept running and got tackled ....silly
Allan is showing exactly what he’s been showing at VFL level…not much.
Crispy more fumble than usual…should’ve nailed that simple shot for goal.
Naicos and Jaicos disposal efficiency a worry…sometimes being a little too cute. Ditto Bobby.
Schulz trying too hard…good players let the game come to them and then go with the flow.
Harrison, Richards, Q, Lippa, Moore, Billy keeping us in this but too many opportunity wasters ahead of them.
This isn’t going to end well I’m afraid
