Nothing short of a coaching masterclass is required to get a win this Friday night. The likely reconstruction of the mid-field with JDG and Mitchell likely outs is beyond my pay scale or line coaching tendencies. That aside, why not have a crack!!!

Outs:
DeGoey (inj)
Mitchell (inj)
Sidebottom (rest)

Ins:
Sullivan: reward consistency and seems prolific ball-getter
Bytel: big bodies replacement for Degoey. Now's your chance.
F Macrae: now or never son
I love the Pies, hate Carlscum

With Titch out and DeGoey unlikely there’s no way no how that Sidey is omitted…was quiet re disposals but his work off the ball and constant run up and down the wing providing support was sublime against the dopers…his experience and footy smarts will be invaluable.

Out:
Mitchell
DeGoey

In:
Markov
Macrae

No other changes except Maynard possibly playing as a defensive mid on Cripps, and Schultz pinch hitting occasionally through the middle.

Ash is also worth consideration following his VFL form to come in and really stretch their Swiss cheese defence…however not very likely.

I’d bring Ash in. He’d kick 4 against the just above north defence. And MacRae, Mcreery and Daics in the middle. Just get Mcreery to go full on Wreck it Ralph. Pies by 27 - easing up at the end

We are definitely the underdogs for this match. Blue vermin fans getting very arrogant and cocky. Heard one of em ring that Carlton flog Andy Maher, on radio, today, said " hey Andy, wouldnt it be great if we can just smash Collingwood hey !" Maher guffawed and laughed his head off, so they fancy theselves. Good, thats how I like it, them as favourites, pride comes before a fall, you Bluescum pricks, lets see how this goes .

Ok then we know for certain but What are we going to get as replacements.

I’m guessing no debutants but that’s ok for this week. Need ball getting bodies to replace them. What have you got Fly?

Mine too.
I was thinking Sidey might be managed, but not with both JDG and Titch out. I think Sullivan might be SUB, with both HH and Fin playing the full game.

Collingwood make call on injured duo ahead of Carlton blockbuster

The pair of changes will open the door for a potential debut to pre-season recruit Lachie Sullivan, who has looked at ease in the VFL after crossing from Footscray as a two-time Team of the Year player at the state league level.
Sullivan is averaging 26.0 disposals, 5.3 clearances and 4.5 tackles per game for Collingwood's reserves to start the season, combining nicely with fourth-year Magpie Finlay Macrae under VFL coach Josh Fraser.

With the significant two ball getting outs, do we have anyone who can’t match Cripps and Walsh for strength in the contest. I don’t think we have individuals but will need an extra special all team approach just to break even

Sullivan named against Carlton, in his 4 games in our VFL team his averages are:
AF (Fantasy points) 87, Disposals 26, Tackles 4.5 and Clearances 5.25
I wish him all the best, GO PIES
In the end, it's not going to matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away
