If Bobby is quiet or looks to be drifting out of the game, I'd like to see him moved up onto the wing to launch a few runs. I love seeing those baulks and spins he does all before using that line breaking dash.
It's good for him, the team and supporter morale!

Some interesting news in the VFL selection.
Harrison out of the VFL team as he is the AFL emergency.
Lachie Sullivan has been 'managed' from the VFL game suggesting he'll be an emergency or maybe make a debut on Anzac Day.

Ed Allen kicked our last goal of the year at the 58minute mark of the last quarter

Sideways, although I'm not even sure what that means. Form difficult to read with the weird draw we've had. I don't think we can be better than last year, the question is whether we can be our best and if that best is still better than most. As for today's game, I've got no doubt port are itching for this and will be up and about. Round after a bye generally doesn't bode too well for us from memory but we're relatively healthy and should give it a good crack. Think our backline stacks well against their forwards this week and may be the key to victoryLaurieHolden wrote:Frankie old cock, how are you seeing things atm? Battle of the midfields. If we let Rozee, Butters and Horne-Francis get on top of us we’ll struggle.
Hoping for a big performance today. We’ve had the week off, so hopefully we’re fresh and raring to go.

Ports midfield will always get plenty of the ball. They play a high possession game ( 2nd in possessions )
The key is to not let them drive out of the front of the stoppages and make them go backwards or sideways before they go forward. It’s the quick straight line exits that kill any opposition. Alternatively, put enough pressure on their midfield that their dump kicks are won back by our defenders or wingers who who will need to work very hard to lend support.
To be honest, Port haven’t beaten much but they have been winning. Conversely, we haven’t won much but we’ve been beaten by the best going around. Shapes as very interesting match up.
Bring it on.
