I'll echo what everyone else has said, sad to see him retire but happy for him to have made the decision to prioritise his long term health.
The way he played, another concussion was inevitable and I guess he made the call that he couldn't change how he played. Very good, very under rated and a vital cog in the team. He'll be missed on and off the field.
Onya Murph, I'll raise a glass to you later today.

Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.
Very sad news that another potential 200 game Collingwood player has been lost to injury way to soon.
His talent, courage and accountability as a defender leaves a big hole in our team that will be hard to replace.
All the best in your future endeavours Nathan and thanks for your service to the Collingwood Football Club.
Forever a Premiership Magpie.

Congrats on a fabulous career albeit cut short by your injuries. I remember waiting patiently until you recovered from an ankle injury before you first started playing and being rapt about Collingwood having the foresight to keep you on the list. And to think that you ended up being a Collingwood premiership player was just tremendous. Your welfare first. Farewell in your future endeavours.

I term the current Collingwood attack based strategy “Unceasing Waves” like on a stormy and windy day with rough seas. A Perfect Storm
Round 16, 2023, 13:50 to play in the second quarter, kick out to Moore at CHB, Murphy has broken away and takes the hball receive and drives it long inside 50. Super aggressive play which we he won’t be remembered for, but is my favourite Murph moment (perhaps because it was uncharacteristic).
Fearless. Loved by teammates. Premiership player.
Thanks for your service to our great club.

A Magpie Premiership legend, always will be. Ten concussions, jeezus, no wonder it had to come to this. Farewell Nat dog, your partner in crime Darcy will miss you back there, for sure, as we all will.

Wow! The brightest stars burn out the quickest, and he sure had an event filled career.
There will be plenty on here, who on reflection of their posts, called him a list clogger when he couldn't get on the park for, what was it, seemed like two and a half years.
And the patience of the Club and supporters was paid back in spades...I really don't think we win the flag without him.
Kudos to a marvelous career, and all the best with the future endeavors
