I was there that day. One of the greatest games I have ever seen, as the team of youngsters who would take us to 1990 glory announced itself against a powerful enemy. And the last three goals - Craig Starcevich ! A miracle happened before our eyes that would ultimately take us to the promised land.

No one should wish a season ending injury on an opposition player......unless it's a Carlton player.

Was just thinking about the 1988 home and away match - it was the one where SoS took mark of the year. Nothing better than seeing a close match where we run over the top of an arch rival - btw, a classic example one point win over the Scum today at Price Fixer Park

I checked the scores on the AFL site, and bastards had a gotten to a lead.
A couple of hrs after the game, looked again, and boy, 1 point can make my day.

Well...
As long as the 2 coaches remain in their respective positions, they aint ever getting to 17 before us.

Looks like Geelong are finally cooked. They'll be lucky hold onto a finals spot.
Still think Sydney and us are better than Carlton.

Yep agree with you.
In 1995 Carlton won there 16th premiership and we were 2 behind them.
I am glad we won in 2010 and 2023.
If only we had won in 2002, 2003, 2011 and 2018 we would have been in front of them.

The Scum won’t beat the Swans in the Granny. Swans will be too good.
I term the current Collingwood attack based strategy “Unceasing Waves” like on a stormy and windy day with rough seas. A Perfect Storm
