The first quarter was like 2023 Pies. We know that the energy and desperation is still there.
Now we will see what this team is made of.
Backs to the wall.
3rd Quarters to date horrendous.
But stakes are massive, and we still know how to play the way we need to.
Crisp should come on for the second half.
Tackling pressure and swarming energy from the first quarter back in the third.
Only 5 points the difference.
Game on Pies.

The ball wasn't in our forward half in the second qtr so I have no idea what people expect Shuktz to do. I like the tackling pressure and in saying that they need to do that for 2 more qtrs.

It’s like the teams swapped jerseys at the break
JDG and McRae are being held at every stoppage without getting a free it’s a joke
Cant get it past the centre square
We started so well sticking tackles now we are like statues
I sincerely hope they lions go to sleep after half time or this could get ugly quickly
If they had taken half there chances then we would be down by 3 goals
Looks pathetic on TV. Not winning contests and losing ground far too easily. Blaming umpires is something we can do every week but that’s not a solution. The lack of a plan B, C or D when your starting strategies don’t work is a major problem. We need to go for broke and play aggressive football, even if we lose

1st quarter = Brisbane 14-14 Collingwood

2nd quarter = Brisbane 21-2 Collingwood
That's the game right there. They should be further in front. Footage from our rooms at halftime and the players look spent. Too hot. Too humid. Not enough hunger. I don't expect anything but a thumping now. Hope I'm wrong. I really do. Take John Noble out of this side and we'd already be 8 goals down.

The positives - John Noble and Bobby Hill. Also not having to hear 'Let It Go' and thankfully only having to endure 'Country Roads' the once...

The 2nd quarter was horrific, but the good news is it’s only 5 points so we’re still right in this.

Trying to adopt an optimistic approach here. Lions used up a lot of energy to regain control of the game.

The lack of contribution from McCreery is really eating away at me now. He can tackle - great, but that's all he can do and he only lays one of those every few quarters. Moore hasn't been good tonight either.

Who can turn this around for us? Optimism is fabulous but it has to be based on some flicker of hope that we can muster the strength to make a difference. I honestly don’t know who can lift to get a win here because they have fallen in a heap and dropped their bundle. Love to be proven wrong but I don’t think that will happen. Not optimistic at all.

The worrying thing is that the third quarter is usually our worst, and it’s still to come.I dread what the score will be at three quarter time.

Yes, this game is not over.
The test comes in the third. So far this season, our third quarters have been appalling.
I get the feelign that this time will be different, just like our first quarter looked like our old selves, I think the memory neurons of how we played last year have begun to spark.
Just need to bring some jumper leads in during the half time break to get this car restarted.
Massive quarter about to begin.

On Schultz: I'd say Freo saw us coming and realised this was their chance to get back at us for the Paul Medhurst trade.
