Buyers Remorse
Watched the Sydney Brisbane game last night
Big “O” was so dominate over Grundy it was actually sad to watch
The swans looked so much better with Lanhams in the ruck
Grundy looked disinterested often trialing more than 20m behind his opponent when the ball was moving either forward or back
Lanhams played less than 40% of the game time but his impact and output was over double grundys
Sydney will be shaking there heads now wondering what they’ve done
Hope they remembered to put a clause in to oust him after 1 season because come about round 10 they’ll have to do a Melbourne and just play him in the VFL and look for someone to take him off there hands
His best chance of getting game time is hope Lanhams and McLean both come down with injuries

Good luck to him. Carried our woeful team for half a decade and has his extended payday - why does anyone care whether he performs for Sydney in a scratch match (or at all)? From his perspective, he's probably wondering WTF he did to have Adams follow him but grateful that at least The Man Who Always Runs Backwards is still stinking it up at Footscray.
As for his level of interest, was he carrying an easel and palette, perchance? That's when you know you have really wasted your money on a footballer (for a second time).

I know its only 1 praccy match but i feel like times coming to an end for Grundy.
Just doesnt have that spring in his step that he once did.
I feel like 2018 and 2019 was his best years when he was a Pie.
I hope im wrong as im a fan of him but looks like the games past him by and he just cant keep up.
i wish Adams well too at the Swans.

His career was done the day he signed that massive deal
Be it pressure or just thinking well I’ve got my cash now I can worry about everything other than football
When Buckley’s book comes out (hoping some time this year) and he tells the clubs version of the grundy contract saga (not that self serving load of tripe he spun last preseason playing the victim) people’s opinion will change dramatically of Grundy the person
The club got rid of him for more than just the $$ & cents there were other issues the new coach saw and didn’t want around the place
Melbourne learned the lesson after sprouting his virtue which stopped real quick around midseason and they just didn’t want to bag him too much so they could offload him elsewhere
Sydney will soon learn the same lesson. Football is the furthered from his mind snd efforts
It’s shame we ever gave him that contract cost us a couple good committed players or the chance to land a real star of the game

Funny story I went to a sportsman’s luncheon today
We sat with a former AFL coach
I asked him some questions on our team and players and overall he was very positive
Another guy at the table was a swans supporter and was asking questions about his teams chances this year
He then asked what he thought of Adam’s and Grundy
He thought Adam’s was past his best and now injury prone but said he would be a good influence on younger players
When asked about Grundy he referred to him as dire straights
We all looked at each other wondering what he meant
So the swans supporter asked him what he meant
He said “Money for Nothing”
I nearly spat my beer on the table
He said always been a selfish player only interested in his own stats and now doesn’t really want to play football but wants the money

Grundy was dominant against Dreamons. Sydney wont be shaking their heads - they will be out celebrating.
