Yep its what you call cancel culture.
Every other teams premeirships are all on the highest of all petastalls.
A mere mention that Collingwood won it its like irrelivant and sort of cancelled out.
Kind of like voided.
Yet a tad fail and we dont hear the end of it.
it totally shits me this crap.
Its like we have to win the flag every year and if we dont we cop it in the neck.
We cop it 100%

I couldn’t agree more and for the sceptics who don’t think this happens, an oldie like me can confirm that it does. As I have said, I enjoy our flag wins for months and really enjoy letting everybody else know that I do

I term the current Collingwood attack based strategy “Unceasing Waves” like on a stormy and windy day with rough seas. A Perfect Storm
Anyone at the grand final and did speak or have any discussions with the Brisbane supporters i did they say we reminded of them of the 2001 brisbane lions.
I was sitting next to quite a few of them too and was like their own little patch in the top deck of the mcc.
Seamed to be alot of lions around me were i was sitting.
Some of them saw alot of the Lions 2001 in us.
they were nice and cool and were happy that we won it even tho they lost they congrats me and well said we were just a bit better and they were nice and cheering like normal fans do during the GF.
Nice for oppo fans in a GF too not like those west toast fans in the 2018 GF.
But nice to have their angle and thoughts from the game from an oppo fans point of view.
They said our win was was well earnt and told me to soak it up.
A snid remark tho watch us in 2024 was what they told me at the end when they left while we were parading around the mcg with cup a loft.

Well, we had another Christmas shindig over the weekend. And yep. No talk about football. No one wearing their team logo. We looked through the previous years photos and so many are wearing something with their logo on it. You cant make this up. They are absolutely cut about it.
But the best part was when 90% had left the event, I was told a story about their GF day. People cracking the shits, storming out, someone throwing the chips... I loved hearing this. LOVED IT! Apparently there was a heated argument too.
In 2018 they made me suffer. It was how fair the umpiring was. The choke. How Bucks has missed out again. In 2011, much the same. In 2010, they left the party before I got there.
In 2023.... its next to nothing. And what you do hear is the umpiring was off. It wasnt fair. We dont deserve it.
There's plenty of teams I dont want to see win it. But I would never act like this.
More than happy to hand it out. Can not and will not accept it when Collingwood has won.
Stay cut.

How awesome is it to look back at the season, premiership cup in hand? In terms of style, spirit, camaraderie, quality of character, footballing acclaim and club esteem, this was surely the proudest year in CFC history, certainly in my lifetime.
In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.

As the year draws to a close, it's worth reflecting on Premiership #16 and what a magnificent year 2023 was for the whole club.
Now onto 2024 now where we attempt consecutive premierships for the first time since 1935-1936.
Wishing all Nicksters a very Happy New Year for 2024

Worth seeing one more time before the new year concludes.

Yesterday was Elvis’ birthday and on 3AW they were discussing his greatest ever song. His song ‘If I can dream’ was played and I was suddenly overcome with emotion. If you haven’t seen it, find the Instagram clip published by the club with a montage of supporter celebrations when the final siren sounds in the GF. I seriously cannot watch that without bawling. I did again several times yesterday.
