Don’t get the hopes up! But Collingwood going back to back and Trump winning the 2024 election would be a great year and Big Footy would probably implode

Nah, Trump winning the election could not be a good thing. The best thing for US politics would be if he is somehow made ineligible to run ever again. That might give the Republicans an opportunity to reset and also the Democrats. Instead of picking someone to beat Trump they can try to pick someone who could actually do the job.

Biden would have been good 20 years ago but now his cheese is barely clinging to his cracker.

I term the current Collingwood attack based strategy “Unceasing Waves” like on a stormy and windy day with rough seas. A Perfect Storm ☔️

Looking at the electoral college map, Trump won 232 EC votes in 2020.

Factoring in the slight differences in EC votes compared to the last election cycle, Trump now sits on 235 EC votes and would need at least 270 (or 269 if it's a tie, then it goes to the House to decide) to win back the Presidency.

So what's the potential path to 270 assuming he wins every state he won in 2020:

Pennsylvania (19 EC votes)
Georgia (16 EC votes)
Michigan (15 EC votes)
Arizona (11 EC votes)
Wisconsin (10 EC votes)
Nevada (6 EC votes)

Wins all states = 312
Wins all (except Nevada) = 306
Wins all (except Wisconsin) = 302
Wins all (except Arizona) = 301
Wins all (except Michigan) = 297
Wins all (except Georgia) = 296
Wins all (except Pennsylvania) = 293

Everything in-between this.

Wins Pennsylvania (loses all others) = 254
Wins Georgia (loses all others) = 251
Wins Michigan (loses all others) = 250
Wins Arizona (loses all others) = 246
Wins Wisconsin (loses all others) = 245
Wins Nevada (loses all others) = 241
Loses all states (holds existing states) = 235

There's a lot of other scenarios that could play out, but he needs to win at least 2 states minimum, but wins in 4 of those states I've listed will be mathematically enough.

This is a good map to play around with:

[quote="lazzadesilva"]Ummmmm………………yes and no, in that sequence! Collingwood back to back would be bloody awesome and would give me reason to be healthy and live longer but Trump winning would be a disaster and I’m not ready to die yet from WW 3 or a nuclear blast

I can understand the dislike of Dan Andrews but calling him a dictator let alone the most evil and corrupt dictator in the world is just ridiculous.

I don't think you understand the word dictator, but if Trump gets in power (and it won't be legally) you will, and don't for a second think it will be confined to overseas, Murdoch has kept you all in a constant state of outrage at those damn nanny state lefties, but ask yourself who was it that was really invested in getting everyone back to work and ignoring the science so we could all start buying again, now if you said the owners of the rags and media outlets you read and corporations selling their wares crack a tinny champ, you've cracked the code.

He ran the state entirely on his decisions, he bypassed ministers and everything went through him. It was his way or the highway, as so many ministers and public servants found out the hard way.

The only thing that factored in to his decision making was how rich will it make his benefactors who keep him in power.

The problem all you blind sheep so conveniently ignore with these attacks on media and ignoring the science, is why was Victoria in that position? It was the Andrews government’s complete and utter incompetence and want to do things his way and not follow the national cabinet that saw Victoria as the one and only state to spend most of 2020 in lockdown.

Every single other state beat Covid in April 2020, except Victoria. But of course you ignore that and celebrate the arsonist who put out the fire he started 6 months later at the personal and financial cost to all Victorians whilst he personally enjoyed all the freedoms he took from Victorians and gave himself a massive pay rise for doing it…

For all the complaints about Trump supporters, the cult of Dan are just as bad, if not worse, and you’re too blind to see it. But well done on being brainwashed into still selling the message 3.5 years later.

^Eddie, get some perspective. Hate Andrews all you like; there are gits in politics who get on all our goats. But Trump is a very psychiatrically dangerous person close to the levers of the superpower. Andrews influences a state in a very small nation.

Yes all the elderly and sickly that weren't just sacrificed because billionaires wanted everyone back at work must be furious with ole Dan the man, how dare he try to protect people when Murdoch went to all that trouble to play the least educated for slack jawed yokels and actually have them arguing against science or running to any quack that would back their inane and insane garbage lies and conspiracies.

ps: Shut down, vaccinate, those that get it naturally add to the herd resistance and bang everyone goes back to work with the least deaths possible, that's how you do it just quietly.

But it takes a special party to foment lies and conspiracy theories and target doctors and science and con the ignorant into railing against the best weapon we've had against disease and infection for the last 227 years (vaccine for small pox in 1796) so their stocks don't lose too much money.

So, you're still ignoring the whole problem which was it was only out in the community and threatening the elderly and vulnerable solely because Daniel Andrews $@&^# up, yet you don't think he should be held accountable for that?
