Yep and at that game at Marvel they kicked 19 goals and won by 24 points. lol. If we dont hold Charlie Cameron whose kicked 17 on us in the last four games against them we are going to be in difficulties. It will be interesting to see if they have trained to overcome the MCG factor or not too - which is about the size of the ground in comparison to the Gabba. what your comparisons show is that its going to be a close game so we better be switched on from the first bounce.
Cameron has also only managed 24 goals in 20 games on the MCG, obviously struggles a bit with the larger ground. Had some shocking chokes on Saturday night in front of goal as well.

Yes, i agree Fuzz. Lions are susceptible to mass pressure (as Carlton showed in the first quarter). Difference is that we will bring it for far longer, and will know how to conserve energy with tempo footy.
Kingsley also had a strategy to thwart our game plan, and we overcame it by simply playing to our strengths: taking risks and playing planned roulette.

Another important factor is that they have worked out our game style on the Gabba and on Marvel, but it has been a long time since we met on the MCG.

In fairness, Cameron has not been used much as a forward, unlike Cox.
Its been a while since we have we played our best football.... early in the season in some games we were really fantastic.
Blitzkrieging up the middle, with handball options in front of the ball carrier, and to the left and to the right.
With leading forwards finding space 40 metres out to receive the ball.
And in the time, Nick was half back starting most of it, and Crisp many times in the middle of the chain.
Our very best football, hasn't been played for a while.
Here's hoping for an Easter egg surprise on GF day.
Reason 1: He has obtained greater confidence knowing he is among the best after finishing 3rd in last night's Charlie award.
Reason 2: He will be hungrier after missing out Charlie medal.

I'm taking the 'positive' approach out of no McStay (cos we have no other option). With two 'genuine' talls in Mihocek and McStay, we resorted a lot to bombing down the line and not lowering the eyes. It was as if we didn;t realise McStay was off injured in the last quarter on Friday night as we kept pumping it high and long to our smalls (and had no damn front and centre players). Maybe with Mihocek as the main man it will allow our medium-and-small forwards to get a look in a again as our midfielders look to lower their eyes and hit up our leading smalls or keep the long ball low and out of Harris-Andrews's hands. McStay kicks no more than 2 goals a game, so it's not the end of the world. We can find two goals elsewhere. It's the 'not-being'outmarked' by Lion talls inside F50 part that needs to be the focus. If we bomb and hope, we're done.
