Not much more than pure relief to get over the line against a very good GWS team who were stiff not to win themselves, they were fantastic in all their finals. No real standouts except for JDG who was a monster tonight. One of his best games without hitting the scoreboard.

On to next week. What to do if McStay is out and it looks that way. We need a marking target down there, so either Frampton plays forward or Howe perhaps or they switch it up during the game which I like, keeps the opposition guessing. Frampton looks the likely in though.

Great win, another GF........mighty time we won one of these things though. Just get the job done. I'll take another 1 pt win.

How important was Ginnivan’s point in the first 15 seconds of the last Q?

What a great win. We were in huge strife in that match but dug deep and won against an in form team. Cox and JDG were huge. McStay played well and will be a loss.

Congratulations to the mighty Pies!

It was an absolute privilege being there and celebrating such an epic win

I wouldn’t be writing off Dan McStay yet. He was on fire tonight before he went off and Fly suggested in his presser that he might be ok. With Adams potentially available too We go into the GF in as good a shape as possible. No excuses it’s ours to win

Can we win it without mcstay? I’m not sure we can

He was huge tonight early on he took some huge grabs. Without him we have such a small forward line. God I’m shattered.

Great win Pies.

IF, McStay is out,,, it is probably the one injury with the least hurt factor.

Not saying anything against him , but as we saw tonight , it wasn't the 10 goal forward that got us over the line. (Wish we had one)

Not sure Frampton is the answer up forward, and Howe looked good down back tonight.

Adams in, Ginni sub. Cox and Cameron float more time forward.

If Admas doent make it... could it be Mcinnes time? I love the guy.

Fatui Attata wrote:I thought Crispy kept us in it and drove us back into the game in the 3rd quarter. He's another bull we have who rarely lets us down. IQ was brilliant again. The confidence we have in him to win most contests is a rare thing for any club. And that's both in the air and on the deck.
Once again, we have a team that turns it into a game of "whack a mole" for the opposition. Just when they think they have us covered, someone pops up to keep them guessing. I love that about our side. They all have their moments as Fly repeatedly states. And those moments are at the core of our strength.

Such an exciting time to follow this awesome Club

GO WOOOOODS!
Yes, I gave Crisp BoG. Sidebum and Jordy were both great, but I thought it was Jack who dragged the game out of the fire in that third quarter. Only great players can do that in finals.

As a side note, I think it was the Dayne Beams to Brisbane trade in about 2013 that netted us the pick 5 we used to get De Goey, with Crisp as the famous steak knives. It paid off tonight, didn’t it? …. even if we took some of the shine off it by getting the useless Beams back later.
