He dominated last September in a team that overachieved, I think we can always do with someone like that at Collingwood in September.....

Good to see him get some recognition here. Has a good set of hands.

I’d argue he’s been our second best performing forward since the bye, only behind Elliott.

I know McStays been more forward in 2023 but could he try his hand at playing down back as well.
Kind of like a swap with Frampton. Lets say.

I've gone from a doubter to a believer regarding McStay. He plays very much like Checkers, but is perhaps a slightly better pack mark. All he needs to work on is his accuracy kicking goals. If he can maintain his output of 2-3 goals a game, he'll be a major weapon for us in the finals. While neither he or Checkers are giants, they are both built like brick shizenhousens. They are also very mobile.

It’s much like Mitchell and Adam’s, together they make a formidable partnership and make us stronger. Plus they add depth and make the opposition defence stretch further. Checkers always plays better when someone else is there to take attention. Cox didn’t need to kick bags if Checkers was kicking goals on the 2nd or 3rd defender.

The other beauty about McStay that I only noticed the other night is being a left footer, makes the team more flexible.

2 goal Dan - you can almost sub him out after he kicks his second goal as you know he's not adding to that

The Port and Geelong wins were both under 2 goals. Maybe we should just play Krueger instead.

Very worried for McStay. Played a great game but he and some of the players looked teary after the game suggesting something serious with the knee.

It looked to me like he’d already received the news, yeah. Was getting some big hugs from players.
