I missed most of the game due to commitments (geez is every *ucker born in June?). From my few glimpes of the game I was happy with the commitment and they appeared to play with more confidence.

Hopefully I will get to see the replay by weekends out.

Reading the paper today it appears that Dids has decided to stop reading about how good he is and actually perform to the level we all know he can play.

To everyone who wanted Nick Stevens, watch a few Carlton games you will change your mind.

Good win guys but still a hell of a lot of work to do before we get into the finals. We've won 3 games now, but until we play well against the good sides there is no point talking finals. Lets keep a lid on it. Wen we beat the quality sides then we can yell.

Good win from the boys. There were periods in the game where the roos were dominating the game in terms of possession but we did not allow them to blow the game open. This is a result of having those extra 2-3 experienced players backing up the younger blokes.
My player review is as follows:
A Grade - Licuria, Johnson and Didak.
B Grade - McGough, Richards, Cole and Woewodin.
C Grade - Tarrant, Burns, Swan, Lockyer, Rocca, Wakelin, Clement and Fraser.
D Grade - Davis, Lokan, Lonie, C.Cloke and Shaw.
E Grade - Maxwell, J.Cloke.
F Grade - I dont think anyone was that bad. All did something and certain stages of the game.
Special mention to Lockyer. Great game considering he has been out of the game since 1987! Well atleast thats how it felt!
With regards to the umpiring, its amazing what happens when you start making some noise about how bad the umpiring has been to your team. Even I will admit, we had the better deal last night.

Nice rating spoljar. Using your own system this is my opinion on a few players where i differed in my rating to you:

Lonie was a C i think, took a few strong marks and provided some good run from half-back. Nothing spectacular but did his job solidly.

Tarrant was a B based on his 2nd and 3rd and even 4th efforts (how about that holding the ball!). Adding to that, his creativity in the forward line was impressive and that chip pass to didak running towards goal was sublime. And three goals to his name can hardly hurt his cause

Lokan was probably a C
, if and only if his job was purely to shut down Harvey, both players had absolutely no impact on the game so i think Lokan did his job perfectly. Having said this, it's always hard to judge the games of purely negating-type players.

J. Cloke was probably an F. Had 2 possessions i think and didn't seem to affect many spoils and other things which defenders are expected to do. I think with Presti waiting in the wings, it may be time for C1 to return to Williamstown to regain some form. I am still a believer in this kid, I love his courage to bits and i hope that he can come back stronger than ever.

BTW the bold is just to make for easier reading, not to pretend my opinions are hugely important.

Good job again Spolj, give Lokan a B- though - he totally eliminated one of Norths game winners.
Get back on top.

Can see your point on Tarrant. Probably was a bit harsh on him. His kicking at times was not great but he certainly did work really hard.
With regards to Lokan, I am not a big wrap on players that purely play a tagging role. I still feel they have to contribute something during general play. With only having 9 Touches, 3 Marks and no tackles, I felt he did little else.
With Cloke, I think I felt more sorry for him as he is not having a great season. He probably was an F and does need to go back to Willy.
With Lonie, tossed up myself with this one between D and C. Had a good third quarter and the other quarters we OK.

Good game, good win,BUT I would still like to know what was said to Tarrant for him to go off the deepend the way he did.
Itseems that the only way to get tarrants back up is to say something toi him,let him retaliate and then get the FREE.....sound like another team who does the same.

Good game, we're starting to get back to the magpies of old :)

A lot of second efforts i noticed, which is something we weren't doing.
And going straight up the middle.

Anyway we're getting some form back compared to the start of the year.

2 weeks in a row I've picked us! haha ;)

From the start of the game I thought the boys would get up and win.
Their pressure, hardness at the football, kicking and tackling were highlights.
Well Done to Didak, Johnno, Burns especially in the second half, Cam Cloke, Tarrant and Clement who did a great job in defence.

The only thing that frustrated me was all the Kangaroo players free in the middle of the ground. The boys need to man up a bit better because against quality sides it will hurt us.

They did it for Tarkyn out there and I thought the way he led off the boys was awesome. Very Emotional !!!

It was a team effort and I think we showed glimpses last night.
Congratulations to Mick and the coaching staff and all the players.
Bring on W.C

Good team effort last night, although I wish we had run harder in the last, we could have blown them away.
