Ok, Porter out, please please let it be true. I think it's a ruse, but if they are that stupid then Fraser and Rocca will destroy them. Tarrant will be able to lead a hell of a long way up the ground cause Fraser one on one is a great option against that line up.
Their centre lin (as listed) is the key, Woey and Licca will probably get Simpson and Harvey as defensive players now Lockyer can play HFF.
Shaw will get there. he needs game time in the seniors if he's ever going to be any good. I think he showed enough last week, he needs a couple of good games in a row for me to be certain but I hope he's almost there. I reckon a lot of it is mental, and sometimes that just needs to be thrashed out of him by a good performance or two, hence the boys (Bucks) really motivating him after last week, and MM not dropping him.
Mullins looks the goods I reckon, MM likes to rotate the youngsters back to Willi and I like the policy, Luke will get a full game at Willi, he needs time on the park to improve, not time on the pine. Swan needs to lift a bit, though I think a run at Willi might help him too.
I'm feeling good, Burnsy back is huge for this team, Pies by heaps as our midfield dominates, Richards kills McKernan and Fraser kicks 6.

Good and bad news. Great to hve Tarks, Burnsy & Frase back but on the flip side, it is very disapointing to see O'B and Mullins go. Just as he was running into form, they drop O'Bree. Why didn't they drop him when he was out of form? As for Mullins, he gets hardley any game time and when he does he is a valuable contributer. Unless, like one or two people have said that he is injured, I can't see a way for O'Bree to be dropped as he wasn't awful on Friday.
As for Mick playing favourites, I don't think he does. Selection doesn't just come down to him, he is also helped by Brown, Gotch, Broadbridge, McKenna, Balme and Buffunt (or however you spell his name). Blame for selection can't fall on his shoulders alone. If Mick played favourites, then why is one of the players who is clained to be his favourite, Walker, dropped?
On another subject, it is good to see Presti start off at VFL level as he won't run into the team and re-injure himself.

I'm more than a bit frustrated with the news that O'Bree is out because of a kneee injury. He's not listed as having an injury on the club injury list, there was no mention of an injury in last week's match report in any of the major newspapers or websites, there's been no news out of the club at all during the week. So, how did it happen and when? How long will he be missing? It's all a bit pathetic, really, for the club to say nothing at all.

If that's what Eddie said, he's bull*****ing. MM announced the three changes (Lockyer, Fraser and Burns in) on SEN yesterday morning - see some of the earlier posts in this thread - long before training finished. The changes must have been decided upon earlier in the week, ergo, O'Bree's injury occurred earlier in the week, possibly even during last week's game.

It's the principle droche... We are getting told nothing about how the club and the selection process works.
Why can't we be given simple explanations when the teams are given out rather than being lied to constantly?

its interesting that you were so quick to bag MM (re: Obree) when you had no information at all. Perhaps you should take this as a lesson to not make ill informed statements.sherrife wrote:It's the principle droche... We are getting told nothing about how the club and the selection process works.

As for the naming of teams, MM has quoted almost ever week how pointless it is to name a team on thrusday when most fitness tests can only really be assessed the day before a game, and if that game is on sunday, there is a huge probability that the team line-up will change.
Also, i could well imagine that if MM gave an explanation of the tactics he was using in the game and the role each player was to perform you would criticise him for giving up the game plan to the opposition. I would prefer to understand his coaching deicisions during the game then let the roos know player X was playing on Y and thats why player Z was dropped.

Kangas will win by around 10 points. it will be close though.
MPF - u r such an attention seeker. I really wonder if you aren't an 18 year old girl at uni with 2 much time on your hands and willing to stir the pot to get a high from a virtual reality persona.

Most of my favourite bands start with "M" - Mars Volta, Mastodon, Megadeth, Metallica, Midnight Oil, Misfits...except King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard ~
