However, this will be paid up front clearing the decks.
All in all, much better than a 3 pick upgrade.
That’s the mail I had as well around 3 days ago but I was told $150k was our max payment per year
We’ve cleared space for 2024 onwards paying $650k out of 2023 cap which we had allowances made for Grundy wage anyways
It’s a massive win for the club in terms of balancing our cap
If Mitchell is owed $800k for 1 year could we do a Geelong and get him in DK a new contract at say $1.2m for 3 years gives him $400k more in income and worst scenario is after 2 years he retired

This has all the hallmarks of being Wright's Malthouse/Dale Thomas moment - getting the band back together - save that Daisy once was a brilliant footballer, whereas Mitchell has always been a waste of $$%^%%$ space.
Mate funny go do the direct comparison Mitchell v Sidey
He gains over 80m more a game (on average) than Sidey at a disposal rate of 5.5% better efficiency over there careers
So obviously he isn’t handling as much side ways as you imagine or perhaps Sidey handballs sideways and backwards more
He would be a certain best 22 player and give us another inside mid which we need while others develop
It would also allow Pendles to play more outside witch Daicos and co
Adams body is starting to fail and he’s been a warrior for us giving his all
Maybe Mitchell can help ease that burden

Of course we can and will though how long the tenure is is yet to be announced.
It's exactly what Geelong have just done with Bowes.
$400k a year for Mitchell is probably unders - but I do accept that it locks him in for 2 more years of footy than his current deal. I think the League average is $350ish and hes better than that.
Maybe $600 a year for 3 years? Anyway - we'll never exactly know so it doesn't really matter.

I saw the same, total liability equal to $600-$650k over the 5 years, or the $130k per year but well have it all cleared next year.
Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.
