I'm not sure now as I've heard differing reports on if or where they are playing. If they're out, in come B.Shaw (injurys have depleated us) and Kinnear.surfer1 wrote:To Ben Johnson, you say Burns and Presti are not returning in your preview so who would you put in their positions?
...OK, now that I've heard whose in and out, Maxwell seems a good choise as does Cam Cloke while Rhyce Shaw is on his absoulote last chance.

I think the Pies will be back in town after tonights game and im expecting a 10 goal plus victory.
Tarrant showed glimpses last week of what Pie fans can once again look forward to again this year. Tarrant should be able to dispose of an under done Ben Hart.
Rocca will take Bassett to the cleaners if he is anywhere near full fitness.
Based on that and a solid effort from our midfield who were far from disgraced last week i am expecting our biggest score for the year. The Adelaide midfield will be missing Burton and the work load will fall heavily onto McLeod and Ricciuto. Richards will face his biggest test tonight against Matthew Clarke a genuine tap ruckman. Will be a good test for Guy to see how far he has progressed.
Down back the main forward to curb is Carey. Surely all we have to do is play Wakelin on him and drop a spare man back in defence. Too easy. Carey basically can only mark on his chest and isnt that quick off the mark so hopefully we can limit his influence on the game.
A few of the young Magpies will taste victory for the first time tonight *touch wood* (Lets hope we get a rising star nomination soon as well.)

The Torres bounce is officially dead. You are walking alone now Fernando.

My biggest fear is of a fourth quarter fade-out as seen in rnd 7 against the blues. I'm not saying we don't have the heart, just stating that young kids can play well but do not have the conditioning to go 4 quarters.
As long as we can apply the pressure during red time and to the end of the match we'll come home winners.
We should never underestimate Adelaide. Roo is always tough to match-up. Johncock has caused us headaches in the past, and if McC turns up to play, we could be in serious danger.

Pies to show tonight how they can play as a team unit.
Might be surprise tonight of Maxwell can hold a HB and we could a wing rotation with Lonie and Cole - to allow them to run through the midfield.
Should be a good one.
I am not sure as people have suggested that Clarke is that far in front of Stretch - the rookie is learning fast.
Run Tex through the ruck as well and give Pebbles more forward time and let Stretch go forward and start to learn his spot - goal kicking ruckman.
