First time in over a month we got decent umpires last night. A few decisions could have gone our way which didn’t but then the umpires missed a few free kicks which could have gone Melbourne’s way as well. All I want is a fair go. You can’t tell me the umpires didn’t have it in for us against Port Adelaide, Adelaide and North Melbourne. The best umpired games is when the umpires put the whistle away and only pay obvious kick kicks. They did that last night. I wish it was like that every game.

Can someone who thinks it was fine please explain the Daicos play on? Why they got a Mark right in front of us when the ball travel about 10 feet? Why ours was deemed deliberate, but theirs wasn’t?
Why last week Daicos was penalised before play and finedforfar less than the thump on Ginnie at the boundary, which of course was nothing?
It was better, but far from fine.

You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either!
Rob Findlay was the man that had the guts to give Ginni a legitimate free when everybody else has been ignoring them over recent weeks. Hopefully it breaks the shackles so others starting doing the same.
Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy.

That was a hell of a moment! The crowd roar!Johnno75 wrote:Rob Findlay was the man that had the guts to give Ginni a legitimate free when everybody else has been ignoring them over recent weeks. Hopefully it breaks the shackles so others starting doing the same.
I also forgot the 50 metre penalties we didn’t get, but they got?
For funny reading the Melbourne threads on big footy, they think the umpires slammed em!

It’s the inconsistency. Surprisingly, the umps were exceptionally consistent in the last quarter and pinged Melbourne players for holding the ball/incorrect disposal. Melbourne players looked shocked because the umps had been letting them get away with it earlier. I think we had 6 frees to the second quarter and weren’t being given an inch. But I was pretty happy in the end!

1. Daicos played on and was tackled, by Fritsch?. I am not sure whether Fritsch was out of the protected zone, but Daicos did move off the mark.think positive wrote:Can someone who thinks it was fine please explain the Daicos play on? 2. Don't know which mark you are referring to.
3. There were 3, 2 against us and 1 against them. Daicos kicking it down the boundary, Pendles kicking it out from D50 and a Demon player handballing it while being tackled. All were fair enough under the current interpretation of the rule. The rule sucks.
4. Perhaps because Daicos elbowed a player in the back. The Ginni / Salem incident was nothing. Ginni went down like he was shot to try to suck the umpire into giving a free.

daicos retaliated, once the mrp saw that it should have been thrown out, the guy also took a dive. re ginnie it didnt look like a dive he was just off balance and not expecting to be shovedWhat'sinaname wrote:1. Did anyone else notice in that last two minutes (at about 1.00-0.45 to go) while we were trying to lock it in the forward line that Bianco tackled J Daicos into the ground and let Brayshaw tumble on top of them to hold it in. Daicos actually had enough space to pick it up and have opportunity to dispose but Bianco just grabbed him and rode him down meaning two things: it couldn’t be called holding the ball because Daicos had no prior, plus it couldn’t be called holding against his own teammate! I’m convinced it was deliberate (and really clever) by Bianco.Take_a_Screamer wrote:Here's the last 2 mins

Jack Ginni says hello, and its not just one game, its consistent shit decisons against us, time after time, many games, Like how bout that thug Dixons full on charge last week on Bianco, and Dixons push in back against Moore, bugger me, he pushed Moore a country mile, right in back, NO free too Moore, commentators shook their heads, dismayed it was missed, you need to open you eyes more, id say.
