Well, another loss....grim grim grim. Can't say much more....but

Tis a nice sunny day here though, and we're all set for the Eurovision song contest over here. LD's got the cocktails a chillin, the canapes are ready, and the big screen has been set up in the back yard. This is the Grand Final of crap music, and I'm gonna celebrate it!

Go Bosnia Herzegovina!!!!!!!!!

We were never going to win.. gutsy performance from most players.

I'm not too disappointed.

Crunch parts of the game, our skill rate cost us. Shots on goal that we could have and really should have kicked. Everytime we have played accountable football in the past four weeks we have had teams rattled or beaten for the quarter, as such, a terrific third quarter, the goal late didn't help.

Johhno, Woey, Taz and Pebbles all hats off, beat your opponents. Good stuff boys. A full game like we played in the third quarter and we'll have those Crows next week.

On the bright side guys, which is where we have to look right now......we weren't comprehensively flogged :?

good game by our boys considering...they tried hard
but why did Mick start Waklin on the bench when he is our best defender
he should have started on Gehrig who was too strong for Clement

London Dave - enjoy the Eurovision song cotest. Give us a report on who wins. Glad you are enjoying the weather.

One promising sign is that we beat them in hitouts.

Richards - 3rd best, did a lot of good things...7/10

Cole - Showed more than previous weeks.. was hard at it.. 6/10
You reckon Cole was almost as good as Richards???

Cole - 4
Licca - Did a few good things... 6/10

Obree - Was OK... 5/10
Licca put in a HUGE effort tonight, and obree was up there as well....both EASILY better than bloody cole.

Licca - 7
Obree - 6
B.Nixon - Has proven he doesnt have what it take for AFL footy.. 0/10
Wasn't good but certainly wasn't bad! didn't do anything wrong to warrant that rating.

Nixon - 3
Lonie - Pathetic, if he isnt dropped next week. somethings wrong.. 0/10
His drive from the half-back flank was great when he was actually given a chance to run free by MM. lonie on a ruckman? wtff?!

Lonie - 4
J.Cloke - He keeps embarrassing himself every week... 1/10
I thought he shut down hamill reasonably well? And some solid punching

Cloke - 4
J.Clement - Seen better games from him... 4/10
Had gehrig completely beaten till the last quarter. Needed a double team.

Clement - 5
A.Williams - Didnt cement a spot in the team... 2/10

M.Lokan - Quiet after a heavy bump... 2/10
Both players didn't touch it. 0 apiece.
Wakelin - Clueless as to why he wasnt played much.. 6/10
I REALLY agree with you here... i'm completely lost by MM's decisions.

Very impressed by Guy Richards efforts tonight. Has proven himself in just a short space of time. What this gives us is the option that when Joshy is back in the side he can play forward a bit and give us the extra tall forward option.

Would have been a very different game if we had our full list on the park. Oh, and if you take out their three extra players (in orange).

Post match vs Aints

Post by melissa »

Another loss, but I'm not as disappointed as last week due to the fact that a) we have most of our midfield missing, in Bucks, Burnesy, Josh, Tarks, and Holland, plus our tallest defender in Presti, and b) we were playing the best team in the league and after a crappy first quarter we chased them the rest of the game. Whereas last week, we should have won. There was just no excuse for letting the Filth beat us. Congrats to Woey, Johnson, Pebbles and Taz - great performances from those guys. Can't understand for the life of me what is going in the coach's box. This is not the first time I have said that this year nor even last year when I couldn't believe in Mick persisting with Cloke in the forward line. What the hell was Wakes doing on the bench?! If anyone should have been benched it should have been Lonie, especially after that sinful fumble in the final quarter. Two kick-ins leading to a goal by the opposition in recent weeks would put the cap on it for me. Unfortunatly we need his run out of defence. Hope he cops a spray. Cloke has been playing better - note the save in front of the goals and a couple of spoils. Leon was as inconsistent as ever. If I were Mick Andrew Williams would be dropped at the end of the year, along with Kinnear who did sweet FA. That's my take on the game, sue me.
P.S Why was Lonie on Kositzche who is easily a foot taller?
Congrats Bucks, on a great return! Bring on the Crows!
