As expected, Joe Root has rocketed to the top of the ICC Test batting ratings.

Jonny Bairstow has moved up 11 places and into the top 10, after his scintillating form against India.

Rishabh Pant moves up 5 places.

Little change, with Pat Cummins retaining his #1 status, on 900.

Josh Hazlewood is #10.

Mitch Starc is 12th. and Nathan Lyon 13th.

Smith gained 26 points for his unbeaten 145. Labu picked up just 6 points for his ton.

Chandimal moved up 19 places for his not out double century, to #29

Cummins retained his #1 ranking, on the bowling table, but dropped under the 900 points mark.

The "rankings" are a bit pointless, really. It's ridiculous that there should be players ranked in the "top 10" Test batsmen who haven't reached 50 in a Test in the last year - even worse that some such players should be "ranked" ahead of a player who is averaging 98.66 in the present year and has made 4 centuries (2 not out), two 90s and a further 50 in the present calendar year - and 5 of those 7 scores away from home.

Little to no change on the Bowlers' table.

Prabath Jayasuriya will enter the list, fairly high up, when he's played enough Tests to qualify.

So far: 21 wickets @ 18.56 from his first 2 Tests. Had 4 wickets, so far, in the current Test against Pakistan. 9 more possible scalps.

Tough at the top ? Labu's latest century increased his rating by just 2 points. Whereas Head's similar big ton earned him 65, and a spot in the Top 10.
