Apparently the start of the next season is to be confirmed in the next couple of days.

AFL is sticking with it's thought bubble of an August 2022 start (someone has an idea and lets run with it :roll: ).

It will interesting to see the plan - if there is one - for 18 teams, 9 round comp and no feeder competitions operating from which to draw up players in the event of LTI or illness.

Dividing the talent pool even further means more ugly games.

Yep.

Add to that may of the new draftees will be trying to juggle year 12 studies with 1st year AFLW. It's a big ask even for the most dedicated.

Any teams that sustain early injuries will be stuffed.
