It worked for Biden to disappear for weeks on end during the last US presidential election campaign, so Albo might be on to a winner here.

I think that’s probably the strategy now!

I'd say Labor is glad to have Albo staying home to reset.

Both sides, but Labor more so, are resorting to outright lies in their campaigning.

Tell a lie about what the other party is going to do, watch confirmation bias make a bunch of supporters believe and spread it on social media then challenge the other party to publicly deny it which only adds fuel to the fire.

We really need some truth in advertising laws covering politics.

Are you seriously suggesting that politicians be honest?

Put in for postal votes. Hubby slagged off the greens the other day, said they want to get rid of electricity and gas! So I googled it! I’m guessing they are against puppy farms too, so they get my vote! (Yes hubby kinda butchered his description!)
You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either!

In any case, current sports bet odds favour an outright majority government.

Lib Nat Majority - $2.95 $4.10
Lib Nat Minority-$5.00

Lab Majority-$2.40 $1.90
Lab Minority-$3.75
That was on 21 April. Odds have shifted a tad in less than a week, new odds in red.

right, wrong or indifferent, the money is coming for Labor.

Surprised that people aren't putting more money on a Labor minority outcome. The polls as they stand do suggest an ALP majority, but there's plenty of reason to think they'll narrow in the coming weeks (and a primary vote in the mid 30s is hardly a recipe for a landslide).

On the other hand, a Liberal minority seems pretty unlikely given that whatever crossbench emerges will most likely back Labor. Fall one seat short and the Libs could feel confident about having Katter on board, but any less than that and I'd suggest they'd be in big trouble.

I'd agree with that, the so called "teal independents" are a case in point, any seats they win are likely to come from Labor and Greens preferences, they're deliberately targeting mostly Liberal held seats, you would think that they would align with Labor not the NLP but you never know in Politics other than always back self interest.

"Teal independents" are backed by Climate 200 (funded by billionaire Simon Holmes a Court).

If these teal independents are elected, Holmes a Court stands to make a lot of money.

Ok, i was expecting something to do with the money you get per vote percentage but that actually seems legit.

I remember when Beasley was almost an unbackable favourite to win against Howard about 5 or 6 days before the election but then the Tampa and the bullshit children overboard stuff happened and the lead totally evaporated. Now I take all political polls with a very large grain of salt
