One of the best I've seen Stui.

Tim got caught early and wore what looked like some solid rights from Gausha. Looking at him in the interview after the fight though, he didn't even look like he'd been in a fight.

Was suffering from a pretty bad cold the last few weeks, weighed in 2kg under. Was nowhere near 100%.

Tszyu is good, he's very good.

Plenty of boxing pundits joined Fenech in calling out Hecko’s judging, with prominent journalist Dan Rafael calling it “absurd”.

That's a harsh call. I just watched it again. With my notes and the judges scorecards.

Hecko had it closest @ 114-113, the other two cards gave it to Tim by 3 (115 -112) & 5 (116 - 111) points. I had it for Tszyu by "2 or 3 on my card"

All 3 Judges gave Tim rounds; 4, 5, 6, 7, 11 & 12.
All 3 gave round 1 to Gausha. The remaining 5 rounds were split by all 3, which was consistent with my notes, very even rounds.

The only rounds where both the judges disagreed with Hecko, were 2 (he gave it to Tszyu) and 10 (he gave it to Gausha). The other 3 rounds were, as the judges cards confirm, very even.

I don't see how he gave round 10 to Gausha, but the 2nd was a close round, with Gausha dominating early.
I think it's a healthy spread to see on a judges scorecard, in such a close, hard fought battle.

Operation to clean out both sets of knuckles successful for Tim.
boxing scene wrote:"Tim has been fighting with sore hands for the last few fights, so given the extended time frame we have awaiting the Castano versus Charlo rematch it was prudent to have the problem addressed," Tszyu's manager Glen Jennings said via The Courier Mail.

"We had the corrective surgery to ensure Tim's hands are ready for the biggest fight of his life. Our team doctor, Dr Bill Anseline, consulted with renowned hand surgeon Dr Damien Ryan who was extremely happy with the surgical outcome and assured Tim that he would be ready for his world title fight with two good hands ready to go."

Very eventful win for Nikita against Brubaker, including a fall from a head clash.
