How anyne can view positives from that debacle is beyond me. Wakelin Lonie MCG ,the list goes on with the same errors made game after game,by the same players. Disgraceful footpassing, 29 clangers till 1/2 time, half hearted tackling efforts poor endeavour. The same players continually let the team down and sure we MADE the past 2 grannies, but we LOST 'EM BOTH.Todays effort was every bit as bad as 2003 GF even if it was only a home and away game, our season was on the line and it was a heartless effort that turned sure victory into the most embarassing loss imaginable. Our season is dead in the water and NOW is the time to ditch a few players and play kids who will have a real crack and at least go down fighting.

Any fair dinkum Pies supporter will feel like I do at the moment; sick in the guts. To lose such an important game, to such a hated club in such a spineless manner........What do you say to scum taunts about another one we've collapsed in over the last 1/4.
We had our foot on their throat at 27 pts in front in last qtr....a strong, ruthless team goes on to win by 50 pts. We obviously aren't a strong, ruthless team.
It's time to stop all the b-shit excuses that have been flying around over the last 2 months; i.e. we have to blood our new guys, injuries etc.....So many other clubs have injuries and are blooding new guys AS WELL.
We're losing because our self belief/passion has gone from our game. It's time to admit the effect that last year's GF collapse had on our mindset. The playing list is that different to last year, yet here we are in the space of 6 months, and suddenly we're the worst team in the league. And unfortunately, at the moment that is the truth. We were lucky to beat the Bulldogs.
Never thought I'd say we'd have to take a leaf out of St Kilda's book on how to become a successful club, BUT..... they decided to cut the cancer out of their club a few years ago. They weren't going to settle for anything less than the best. As a result, their self belief is now beyond belief. I better stop.........any thoughts from others?

we have the saints next week and looking at them at the moment they are up by 38 over freo at 3/4 time ....for us to win next week will be a miracle...... i just dont understand how we went from 27 up in the last to let the blues kick 6 unanswered goals .....why couldnt we flood back or have 1 or 2 lose in the back line and that would stop there run on ....but so many questions wont be answered .... we have 15 more games to go so there is plenty of footy but to have carlton on there knees in the last qtr and then for us to lose the match is just plain pathetic and i dont see us improving all that much we rely far to heavy on certain players and that trend needs to change and fast but thats easier said than done.

Cole has potential... Jason Cloke doesnt... he has no footy brains...i dont wanna repeat myself..so i wont... im not blaming todays loss on him..it was a team effort that lost the game for us... but im sick of watching cloke play so pathetically week in week out... ive never been so admanant that a collingwood player should be cut completely from the team, but i think it is neccessary....People can disagree with me if you like... but u would have to be unknown to football to say that cloke is even an average player..

Im getting sick to death of the 'spin' our club and some supporters buy into.
Pies under done ? injury problems ? we fielded 17 players from last years grandfinal side - 17 ! Then we included Anthony Rocca - umm thats a plus, and Guy Richards who i thought atleast won some ruck contests nicely. So ok we arent at full strength but few clubs are - we had a good side in - no excuses !
So how do we lose based on that ??? And lose to a side that got smashed by 100 pts the week b4, and frankly was ready to get smacked again in the last at 27 points down.
Something is rotten at pie land - it doesnt add up.

The only way to discover the limits of the possible, is to go beyond them, to the impossible.

Send him to Richmond and be done with it. I'm so sick of excuses. The bottom line is we need to f*** off a fair few players and playing absolute hacks like Ben Kinnear instead of giving a younger player a go bemuses me. I think we should take it on the chin this year, give the kids a fair go and get rid of any non performer. Then at seasons end (Which no doubt will be the end of August) we can start to clear the shit on our list and trade and draft properly for a change.

magpies at this stage we are talking about blokes who want to have a go, Cloke does, day in all day.
The trouble is he has been played on the bench down back and up forward.
He is limited in his skill level, however put a few more pies in the sights before him.
8 guys zero tackles
2 guys one tackle
How the hell can you win when half you bloody team wants to be a receiver. Today was a tight match and we had prima donna's not 22 blokes fighting for their club and survival.
MM has been loyal to these guys, they has let them down, time for some to move on, time for some to be put on notice ie either put your body on line or phark off.
Brisbane have made it easy for the other teams shown how fragile we are, that is the perception and we will continue to pay until we get 22 guys wanting to have a real red hot go.
