In an interview last year Tazza mentioned that he doesn't do too much running during the week. He covers so much distance during a game that most of the following week is in recovery, with only one serious training session as a rule. If he left early it may be because of the injury but more likely just part of his training program.
Rest assured Brownlow will definately play tomorrow afternoon. We can afford to go into a game with just the one ruckman... especially considering Richards is a first year player with a handful of games under his belt.
Brownlow McKee will be in to lend a hand.... and dont be too surprised if he plays a big part tomorrow... He's a good player and his workrate is high.

Beware the swooping Magpie.

What's caused all these injuries anyway?
While I have no doubt that we will beat the Blues I am very concerned at the number of injuries the team has copped this year.
Has anything gone wrong with their pre season training? You guys in Melbourne might know a bit more about this.

I still reckon Rocca got that goal
We didn't get our 40 acres and a mule
But you're my piece of the rock
And I love you CC

Taz pulled up sore at training after 20 minutes..
in the rooms he couldn't strech out and still felt sore..
Neil Balme said to him to go away and see how it feels tomorrow but knowing Taz if there is that doubt in his mind, he will pull out.
Running is the most important part of his game
Stunner will come in for him...unless it is wet.

taz wont play - you don't take 50/50 hamstrings into a game, especially when it's your most important player. and especaially when it's against a crap team. If we play like we did agianst port (with less concussions) we'll win. If we play like we did against freo, we'll lose. with or without tarrant.
I think williams will come in, unless MM has some left-field match ups up forward in mind, because I think rocca didak buckley williams + one small (woey, o'bree, etc) is better than McKee or Walker up forwards against the blues.

If there is any doubt about Taz he will not play.
The main concern then is why is he taking longer than Bux to recover ????
If he does not play - McKee will be in for sure and I can remember him being BOG against the Blues atv Optus oval about 4 years ago playing at CHB.
I would like to see BK out and Mullins in with Bux going to FF - but I doubt that MM would gamble with that - maybe Pebbles at FF with Bux at CHF.

Can't say I'm disappointed that Tarrant isn't playing. Our defence is threadbare at best so we welcome the absence of a key forward at any time. Also having Fraser on the sidelines helps us out immensely.
We still will have problems covering Rocca's height but we can nullify his influence by putting some pressure on your midfield. It is questionable how much input Buckley will have on the game especially as he has been out for a few weeks. I'd expect him to start of slowly and get better as the game goes on, or vice-versa actually. I'm not expecting him to be back to his best straight off the bat, not too many players have that ability.
Should be a good game (all Pies V Blues games normally are), we can prevail if our midfield gets on top. However, the Pies seemingly turned the corner last week against Port so it really should be viewd as a flip of the coin.
Good luck and best of all .............. (snip - this is a Collingwood BB, Sheik. I've allowed the rest of the post to stand because it's respectful. Donny - Bbmods)

I am sorry for this and i think my statement has been taken the wrong way. I mean no harm to Presti and i do apreciate what he does for the side but i just felt he wasn't the right man for Fevola. I promise not to mention this againdroche 2004 wrote: I cant believe what I have just read, Presti is a bit underdone but he is a great player for us, and along with Clement and Johnston in the backline he would be one of the first guys picked every week. We will have to agree to disagree. I personally think he is the person we can throw on the oppositions main forward every week, and generally when fit does a great job, rarely does he get a bag kicked on him. As soon as he got injured against Port, we lost structure down back and the game was over. I will miss him this week, with any luck he will be back for the Saints.
