Pendles is one player who in mine and many in football,s opinion who has football and club first and self importance second

If he thought it more advantageous to his teammates and club he’d gladly hand captaincy to the next gen

Didn't he demand a two year deal at the end of last season?

I wouldn't mind him playing the last year of his contract as an development coach/player in the twos, so he could give the kids some onfield direction, like Goldsack did at Port Adelaide in 2020.

What ever direction he takes will benefit the club in some way tho he has said he wants to coach when he hangs up his boots

Let the man do it his way after the immaculate service he has given us

Moore’s elevation to the leadership group comes as he enters the last year of his contract and Pendlebury wants the star key position player to stay at the club.

“I think Darcy has just got a title as vice-captain but he has always been a strong leader around the place,” Pendlebury said.

“How he conducts himself, his football speaks for itself and his character - it’s all qualities we want at Collingwood and, hopefully, he decides to stay at Collingwood a little bit longer.

Pendles virtually saying to Moore - a captaincy awaits you next year!

I’ll carry the can for the ancient dinosaur views of some of the oldies here. Collingwood should say stay if you are passionate about wanting to play for us, or nick off and we’ll get a real gun in exchange. Stuff niceties and begging for a guy who’s father played for us and then ran away to Melbourne. If it’s a case of like father like son, it is highly unlikely that we’d be able to sway him to stay when his father didn’t

Is that based on anything other than your hatred for his old man? Darcy's about to re-sign a contract that will make him a 10+ year Magpie and probably TFC and you want to kick him to the curb because his dad left after losing 4 GFs in a row?

Like to see Pendles play till end of 2023. Just play him off the bench and if he plays on field play him forward pocket.

Like to see Pendles play another 2 years.

Hopefully with another premiership medal too.

If anyone doubts that the AFL controls the CFC website, the fact we have this headline in our own news there should change their mind. Complete garbage

Would we like Pendles to stay captain until he retires?
