The Collingwood board met today to appoint a president and vice-presidents for 2022.
Jeff Browne was elected the club’s 14th president and Jodie Sizer and Paul Licuria vice-presidents. All appointments were unanimous.
Jeff was confirmed as a director on Thursday evening at the Collingwood 2021 annual general meeting.
At the AGM, Renee Roberts and Barry Carp were also elected to the board and director Christine Holgate was returned.
The Collingwood board of seven for 2022 comprises Jeff Browne, Barry Carp, Renee Roberts, Christine Holgate, Paul Licuria, Jodie Sizer and Mark Korda.
Jeff comes to Collingwood having been the external lawyer for the AFL for 22 years who created the competition agreements for all clubs, the racial vilification policy, the players’ collective bargaining agreements, media rights agreements and rules for the salary cap and national draft.
Jeff was made a Life Member of the AFL for services to the game.
His business background has included time as Managing Director of the Nine Network. He is currently chairman of the Walkinshaw Automotive Group and chairman of ASX listed investment bank MA Financial Group.

Not thrilled at the result. But hey, it is done now... I will not let go of this one issue:
Presidential term limits.
These need to be brought in ASAP. This club can never again allow a unelected dictatorship back in charge.
Anyway, time to focus on the playing group for 2022.

Why all this negativity on this thread? Isn’t this the democratic system that members wanted? Or is this a case of whinging because some here didn’t get what they wanted? Well it’s done now so onwards and upwards we go. Let’s focus on the exciting prospect of Collingwood developing into a very strong outfit over the next few years rather than lamenting about off field political crap that unfortunately has to coexist with the football team. Let’s concentrate on players getting votes on the field than power brokers getting votes off the field, a necessary but annoying evil that’s now in the past.
Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Just because it's dark and stormy now doesn't meant that you aren't headed for glorious sunshine!
