Well, time to talk about this week's game.

Will the Pies have a reversal of form, and who do you think will play against the scum?

a reversal of form? meaning wat?
while they havent won, i do think we are improving. some of the newies are showing a lot of potential.
i think theyre quite capable of beating carlton, they should. and if they dont u can kiss the finals goodbye (if u havent already!).

Assuming Buckly, Tarrant, Fraser,Johnson, Presti and C.Cloke are all fit, then in Buckly, Tarrant, Fraser out Kinnear, Burns (injured) and probably King.

If Presti is injured then probably Walker will be picked at CHB. However in this case, my preferred option would be Morrisson at HFF. My reasoning is as follows. 1. Carlton hasn't got a tall forward line and someone quick such as Lonie would be what's required for Fevola. Wakelin or C. Cloke could cover Whitnall if he goes forward. 2. Though Kinnear didn't play well, his height improved our forward structure. In the modern game, against the best teams, you need at least 2 talls and preferably 3 in the forward line. St.Kilda showed this with Kosischke, Ghering and Reiwolt.

Tarrant will be a major improvement. If we add a further strong, tall, mobile forward our attack becomes truly formidable. Morrisson is still green, but has shown potential and as a third option would not take the best defender but still be hard to match. With Buckly etc. feeding him and a third rung defender matching him he would be dangerous, would free Tarrant and Rocca and he woul learn more quickly than at Willi.

I prefer Morrison to Fraser on HFF because of long term considerations. Over the next 2 few years we should have an abundance/excess of quality talls available as kpp/rucks (Morrison, Hall, Walker, C. Cloke, Richards and apparently Fanning is coming along nicely. As well there is the possibility of T. Cloke). Richards and C.Cloke can already adequately cover the rucks. Given that, we should train Fraser to a position where he is dangerous while leaving his position as an alternate forward/ruck open to the upcomers. IMO the wing is ideal. Fraser is as mobile and as good below his knees as most mid-size players and a reasonable disposer. With these qualities and his height he would be almost impossible to match up particularly since his lack of bulk and pack busting capababilities would not be a liability in this position. This also adds depth to our running brigade since Fraser would effectively become an addittional runner.

With Obree, Liccuria, Holland and Mcgough all playing well and getting the ball out of the centre, Buckly can be put on the wing which is less stressfull and where he could still be dangerous.

Alot of that sounds good, but Lonie on Fevola ??? No thanks.
I think Jimmy would be a better option and maybe even stick with Presti and see how he goes to start with.

If we don't win this and win it comfortably, we are in more trouble than I thought. Only problem is that everyone seems to have the opinion that Buckley and Tarrant will walk back in, star and turn out season around. I think they might take a couple of weeks to settle ??
Daicos....in 200 years time they'll still be wondering how he did it!

What we need to do is take some Marks inside the forward 50. We are 16th at that at the moment.

That is why it is good to have Chris Tarrant back.

I think Richards and Cloke in the ruck is a big call, still very concerned there, eg Brogan carving us up on the weekend with a bung ankle. imagine if Primus was playing. Would love to see Morrison playing but if he's not ready, no show.

Morrison is at least 14 months away from his AFL debut, trust me.

My team for this week would be:
B: Johnson Prestigiacomo Clement
HB: Cole Wakelin Lonie
C: Woewodin Buckley O'Bree
HF: Lokan Rocca J.Cloke
F: Davis Tarrant Didak
R: Fraser Licuria Holland
Int: Swan, McGough, Richards, King

In: Buckley, Fraser, Tarrant
Out: Burns (Hamstring), C.Cloke (Concussion), Kinnear

Johnson should be right to play after suffering slight concussion and the addition of Buckley, Fraser and Tarrant will make a huge difference. A win here can kick start our year and bring a string of victories.

We will win and win well. Looking for big games from Lokan, Didak, Lonie & Davis.

Johnson will play while Burns will miss 2-3.

Pies by 48 points.
