Very proud of their efforts though... with no bench port could've thrashed us. Ben Kinnear though! Sorry mate but you haven't got it at AFL level.
He can't read the play very well, can't seem to jump and no 1 percenters.

O'bree has answered the call for his head last two weeks. Today he was fantastic.

Great effort Pies :D proud of u

Both sides kicked a lot of behinds. I thought it was a great effort this game. A lot of heart shown, poor C2, he's tough, he'll be right!

Hope the boys pull up okay, the later part of the game was exciting IMO. I'm proud to be a magpie supporter, okay, it wasn't a win, but it was still a good effort nonetheless. Bring on Carlton!

We're last.... games like v Fremantle and v Richmond were the ones that got us there. I haven't seen too many negatives in the last two weeks though.

When we drew level - 11.11.77 each, they finished the game with a further 3.6 to 1.1. Not good enough (I think once we drew level we thought it was gonna be easy). Obviously with no bench we struggled to run out the game.

Kinnear - seriously, please go away. This is AFL football, a level where a real effort is required. McGuire, just before Kinnear sent his shot into teh man on the mark: "He's a beautiful kick of the footy." Eddie, stop talking crap for God's sake. Oh, and Benny, nice snap from 20m that didn't make the distance.

Cole - when you got that ball at half back on your own in the final few minutes with the game still in the balance, I instantly said, "On the full." And guess what, you kicked it on the full, minimal pressure, a whole vacant wing to spot Woewodin into. Seriously, I am praying that you get better but you just can't cut it. Skills are atrocious.

Woewodin, you are losing me. I can't defend you any longer because it looks like you just can't be bothered.

Overall good effort considering circumstances, but to be so close and nearly win it...

Skills - atrocious

Tackling - we are definitely the worse in the comp right now (the opposition so easily gets past us it's patehtic.

Goal Kicking - hahahaha

And we still nearly won it. The new Kangaroos - so much spirit, but not much else.

P.S. At least Swan is getting better with each week, O'Bree finally put in the type of game we've longed for, Licuria finally got back to some sort of form, McGough followed up last week's effort.

Anyone who still thinks swapping Dids for Stevens was a good idea - should watch the reply of both games today

Cam got knocked out when he couragously dived in front of Treadea and Presti leading to the ball, coppped Presti's rump full on.

A good performance when you suspect that the virus probs had some effect on some players. Woey would want to have it after his performance, looked out of sorts.

33 possies for Mcgough and he spent a good whack of time on the bench, Licuria back into some good form.
Bring taz into the team and we should kill Carlton, not to mention bucks.

Great game by the boys, ran out of legs in the end!
Thought they showed a lot- kept running, leading forward, giving a contest and going hard at it. It was a pity with Burns going out in the 1st quarter and with Ben Johnson out in the 2nd our run out of the backline wasnt as good. Was happy with Cole, Lonie and Swan thought they handled the pressure enormously well and backed themselves.
Hopefully Presti was just suffering cramp because he played awesome on Tredrea and that Cam and Roids both recover from concussion.
All in all proud of their efforts and can't wait to see them give it to Carlton next week
Go Pies

Great effort by the boys. But goal kicking needs work as we must take the most of our opportunities or it will come back to haunt you. O'Bree played a great game and his performance will be a huge confidence boost! Clement played well, Johnson was doing well until he went off and i thought Licuria showed a bit more this week than what he has been doing.
