Considering the little expectation of us winning tonight, thought we gave a good account of ourselves and saw a glimpse of the future.

It would have been easy for the young players to throw in the towel especially once Pendles went down, but they fought it out reasonably well.

Henry shows a lot of promise. Reads the play well and can take a mark. Might be a rising star nominee this week.

Ruscoe maintaining his good form down back.

Umpiring was one of the worst I’ve seen in a long time. Every time we had momentum, they gave Port a leg up.

Lost at the selection table before the game even started.
Cox as medical sub - what on earth were they thinking?

The 3 most overrated and over paid players in the afl are in order
1.Grundy
2. Sidebottom
3 JDG
and lastly Cameron can't ruck full stop

Crucified by the umpires. Good signs from Henry, McRae, Ruscoe and Bianco.

Good to not get totally blown away.

Never expected to win.

Picking Cox as the sub should be enough to put a line through Harvey.

Agreed. Trade DeGoey.

Put games into Lynch. Play him with Grundy.

Too hard basket once Pendles went down early.

I like Henry alot, and Bianco is showing promise.

Tohill wasn't ready.

Get off JDG’s back. Been our best player over the past 5 weeks. Yes sometimes he doesn’t look like he’s trying, but he ain’t gonna kick 5 playing midfield. He’s going ok and thinks quicker than blokes in the forward. Time and time again he had to wait for some sort of movement. Understand game and don’t always be critical

As expected, Port had too much to play for, Finals spot plus Boaks 300th. Soon as Pendles went off, the game changed, but by gee, the umpires well and truly screwed us, as per usual, killed our momentum every time we came at Port. Shocking umpiring. Our kids were good, Henry, Poulter, Bianco, Murphy, etc, the future is right there. Jonathan Brown says our kids show a lot of potential, we are heading in right direction. Our next Coach has a lot to work with. Look to the future now.

Considering Dixon kicked 3.1 from either extremely lucky free kicks or free kicks that should’ve been paid against him, the score line was quite close.

Very pleased with the effort particularly from Henry, Noble, McCrae and Bianco.

This really was an even contest marred by poor umpiring that ultimately proved to be the difference.

Well Port beat a half AFL half VFL side with a lot of help from the umpires,so nothing to get excited about for them.Sadly,I think Sidebottom is finished.I’d be surprised if he played on next year.He just doesn’t seem to have his heart in it,and hasn’t since he went walkabout last year .
