Those were the times weren't they Piesnchess!! I recall running out on the ground after the siren at Vic Park, determined to touch Peter McKenna. And I did (Also danced with him at the Collingwood Annual Ball ).
People,have been saying all year that this is the worst Collingwood side they’ve seen,but I don’t see it myself.I remember the Shaw years where we would get absolutely thumped on a regular basis.This hasn’t happened to this side.In fact our biggest losing margin is only 30 points,and we have a pretty decent record against top 8 sides if you check her results.So yes,the team has a lot of work to do,and a lot of improvement to make with the list,but it’s far from the worst ever.

The talent is there with only a couple of holes to be filled somehow, but its the game plan that's been lacking
Also keeping Eliot and DeGoey on the park for more than a couple of weeks would be handy

One player who should be singled out for praise is Quaynor.
He obliterated Kozzie. Quaynor was very fumbly last week but he was superb today.
I sense this win and the bye will set us up for a better run home.

Oh I agree re IQ. Will need to watch the game again, but I recall a brilliant mark by IQ in the final quarter when Melbourne was coming. Good on the young lad - great career ahead of him.
The only player I'd drop from today is Madgen. He is a great trier and I applaud him for that, but his decision making is woeful. Kept kicking it out of defence to wherever Max Gawn was. Sigh.
Doesn't matter in the great scheme of things though. We beat the ladder leaders!!!!

Our record against the top 5 teams this year is pretty good.
Won by 17 v Melbourne
Lost by 1 v Port Adelaide
Lost by 1 v Brisbane
Lost by 10 v Geelong
Lost by 16 v Bulldogs
If we won the Port and Lions game Bucks would still be there...

The Change Needed to happen
Please see my previous comment Dave. I just want Bucks to be given credit for teaching the current team how to defend. I believe this foundation will make the way forward easier for the next coach.

I’ve said this all year, we are a much better team than 16th, today proved that.
You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either!
Today’s performance (surely can’t be explained by emotion only) and players’ comments about NB and recent form are making the Club look stupid.
