Any win this season is a great win. Yes, the Dees looked like they started early on the Cheech & Chong's leading into the break, but if you are not switched on ready to go then any team can knock you off. The competition is just so close these days.
Plus, how often do you see a team lift with a big win after the coach resigns or is sacked. It happens all the time, so no need to get too carried away with the win and what it means, it may just be a knee jerk reaction but time will tell. How good were North for a while under Rhyce when B. Scott got the bullett? And we know how that all ended up.
Will be interesting to see how Harvey goes now, but personally I want to give Sam Mitchell the gig. Yes, he may be a year or two off, but how long did Bux take to get the team into gear, 6 or 7 years? If Mitchell needs a couple of years then give it to him, I think he could be the next great one. He knows what it takes from a playing list and IP perspective to win flags, he's got the cred and he has enough assistant experience. Plus, it would piss off my brother in-law!

"free kick Collingwood"
I don't understand the rules at the best of times, but I was absolutely lost this evening
Clearly the snow bunnies have no idea about the game.

Next year without the captaincy he can concentrate on himself. He is such a gutsy honest player. I used to wonder about him, now I marvel at what he does!Piesnchess wrote:think positive wrote:hell of a captains game, brilliantPies4shaw wrote:Pendlebury 20 contested possessions. Remarkable.
And some folks, and commentators say, Pendles if done, dusted, gone. Oh no hes not, he has all the traits of a champion who could play another 3 seasons, at least, albeit he may need a rest on the forward line, forward pocket sometimes. Great player, could well be our version of Burgoyne.!
Wherethe Hell has thisteam been all season? If we had played like this there is at least 4-5 games we would have won, I don’t get it.
You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either!

If we won the 2018 flag, he would be still coaching us into the future.Sensei Grundy wrote:If only he used the same strategy the last couple of years he’d still be the coach.
No stupid kick it back. Just going forward. Attacking.
Good luck to Bucks.
Time to look forward.

Nice win and they showed some flair which was rare this season. Clearly the best win of the season that sent Buckley out the right way as befits his status as a favorite son of the the club.

That's the spirit, Pies. A very fitting win under the circumstances and an optimistic note to the club that there's plenty under the hood to work with.
In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.

I believe that this will be the biggest mistake a Collingwood has ever made, letting Bucks go. Thankfully, for him, it may be the best decision he has made for the future fulfilment of his life's ambitions.
Bucks legacy for this particular current team is that they sure know how to defend and have a go. Thank you to Pendles, Bruzzy and all the team for giving Bucks the farewell he so deserves.
All the next coach has to do is have the availability of some top quality new players and add layers of attacking football. I'll remember your input Bucks to this current team even if no-one else does. You've laid the first foundation for future success.
Thank you Bucks for everything you've done for this club. Blue skies to you CHAMPION.
