Confidence wise, if we lose this match things are starting to look very shaky. But I don't think we will. I think the boys will come out fired up and playing aggressive footy as they have for the most part failed to do with any conviction this year. It's always a huge atmosphere and they will respond. Rocca and Fraser will get it going on and the crumbers will be on song. It is just a confidence thing, admittedly the absence of Bucks and Tarrant is worrying but I reckon the lads will step up to the plate and at the very least make it a close, tough match. Collingwood by one straight kick!!

our defense is barely an issue, the main thing is the CRUMBERS!
last week if the ball hit the ground, we lost it. thats the crucial thing we need to change. Find some crumbers and our play will flow again, till then, we can have silvani and macintosh doubleteaming lloyd and we will still get hammered.

if we lose this game there is one excuse that we cant use....
INJURIES....
both teams have injuries and i would hate for it to be mentioned after the game by the losing team..
Essendon:
M.Johnson, J.Johnson, M.McVeigh, D.Cupido, A.Henneman, B.Haynes & J.Watson.
Collingwood:
N.Buckley, C.Tarrant, T.Davidson & T.Lockyer.

Surely Presti will not play on Hird. If so we could find ourselves grilled by
half time. Give Clemo the job and play Cloke as the spair down back.
We need a big lift from everyone but none more than Rocca.
You MUST lead Anthony.
IMO the weather will be a big leveller and we could do with this considering we aren't looking like kicking a big winning score, based on current form, confidence, injuries, and the number of kids playing.
If it doesnt rain the Pies will need a miracle or an incredible form reversal coupled with a shocker from the Dons... you never know.

Woewodin. This man needs time in the twos and many others. He didnt win a brownlow for nothing but his performances have been shocking. I would rather see us loose trying then watch this clown and many other just let players run past without an effort. Stop excepting crap from our players Mick and if they need to be droped, Drop them. Woewodin could be great for us, he has heaps of class, but he needs to be told that his effort is not on.
BRING IT ON.

Re: I don't think that Burns will be playing
Well, didn't he come back on after the knock? I'm sure he did.FunkyPieMaster wrote:I don't think that Scotty Burns will be fronting, how long does it take to get over a knee injury?

And Awesome_Scotty we don't need or care about your Essendon preview, save it for your own site.
Anyway... I think C.Cloke will get a gig this week, not sure who will be dropped from the extended bench, but most likely one of or both J.Cloke & Williams will most def be one of the dropped.
Hopefully Monty Burns will play & I'd expect MM to put Lonie on Hird after he was pleased with his efforts on Pavlich

Wakes will get Lloyd.
Presti hasnt played well against Essendon in the past, if memory serves me correctly he was injured in round 22 last year and on Anzac Day he was on Lloyd.
The year before that Presti was on the bench all day and had a short stint in the forward line in the last quarter. It was Fletcher on Presti lol.
Anyway I know he hasnt been in form latly but I have no doubt Presti will make a comeback in 2004. Its all Deja Vu to me!
Pies by 13 in the wet.
Presti will come back and play the game of his life against Port. (on Tredrea)

I honestly think that if we are to win this match we are going to need Mark McGough he has destroyed Essendon all the time when he has playthem and got the ANZAC day medal a couple of years back. I think we will need to shed some new blood so in the future if we have Bucks or etc missing we know who we'll use as a back up.
2004 - Domination - High Sprits - Bucks Brownlow back to back - Premiers in 2004 - Lions 3 peat ended by Collingwood -
