Game had a little bit of everything. Demonstrated the best and worst traits of the team.
First quarter looked good, and I think going forward Grundy needs to spend more time up forward. Clearly has a positive role to play there if utilised properly.
Second and third quarter was abysmal especially once JDG and Howe went down. It demonstrated our lack of pressure and the mids were destroyed through the middle all too often. Our midfield is the weakest aspect of our team. Until we can properly address it, we won’t make serious strides.
McCreery and Macrae are positives. Both have been good finds of last year’s draft. McCreery has a dash of speed and looks confident going for goal. Macrae mimics his brother which is a good sign.
Big talking point will be whether Moore is suited as a forward or defender. I think once Howe went down, Moore should have been sent down back, because Keane wasn’t up to it against Darling.
I’m going to avoid the Buckley talk. My view on him hasn’t changed after tonight.

Only positive from this was McCrae. He looks good.
Actually 2 positives. McCreery looks like he’ll be handy as well.

Well it all started well
Darcy up forward long overdue. Went missing with lack of supply in qs 2 and 3 but showed he is the main man up there. Yes you now know it Bucks he is a forward right!
Brodie G started with vigour and pushed forward to do damage up forward as well.
Looking good. Set up a lead. Then Howe and jdg go down. Not gunna win after that.
That lead gets wrested back bit bit by bit over the next couple of qs. Familiar storyline. WC system of short passing around to eventually release someone for a long bomb or spot up pass into their forward line on show yet again for qs 2 and 3 . Dodgy frees to Kennedy and Darling helped them but the bottom line is we didn’t have a system or the skills to maintain possession when we got the pill in hand.
Pleased with the last q but too much damage done beforehand.

Gee Bux
The zone defence worked really well.
Sliced and diced all night long and beliefs in the "messiah" is not going to cut it Piss off Bux.
You are not part of the future.
Gee and Cameron was a real upgrade on Cox....NOT!!!!!
Midfield thrashed again.
Grundy pretty poor in the second half.
Slow slow slow........ ball movement again and again and again!!!!!!!
FFS Bux fu...k off
