Degoey starved for opportunity. Didn't take mpst chances. should have been given more on ball time
Quaynor should not have played on Greene. Destroyed his confidence. He seems a bit timid around the hard ground ball
Grundy manhandled all night and when he gives it back he is pinged in their forward line. Lots of fumbled ball for him. Mark should have been paid up forward late in the game tho.
no Billy... sigh
daics did good things but was shut out of the game for long periods
Noble disappeared after figuring early
Pendles are you past it now? They really missed his influence. shanked kicks and fumbles seen not for the first time this year
Adams worked hard. Missed that set shot then got injured and doubtful they could win after that. He flies the flag each week in the middle but for years now they are routinely beaten for clearances. not his fault
Mayne popped up now and then but typifies the conservative selection policy. Maybe the kids aren't ready but try them anyway in his stead and a few others
Callum Brown has gone backwards after a promising start to his career. lost pace and zest for the contest. sums up the side a bit
Levi subbed on and had a crack but time marches on for him
Sidey good for lots but that deliberate behind stank
Roughy battled as always played the percentages and lost a few crucial duels
You look at other sides blooding new bees who might do something then we have mr dependable jt who will give you a little bit here and there on the scoreboard as well as forward pressure. vanilla. absence of x factor. still play him week after week.
Crispy is a gem and just keeps halving or winning contests, presenting and gaining metres, even having shots on goal
Darcy is an all Aus backman now but please swing him forward to see what sort of spark he can provide up there. guess what he could be all aus up there as well. base your side around your chf and he is it
8 tackles and a goal from McReery. Good energy. Throw a few of his new mates in as well rather than same old same old
whe should have been dropped after last week and partially redeemed himself
sier went off injured. clock ticking
brayden maynard kept toby quiet after being switched on to him after 5 goals. hard to fathom why he wasn't on him to start with
howey solid
feel sorry for Mihocek a bit. Wouldn't he love a true key position forward or two to play alongside. never gives up
nice goal madgen. battled well as always
coxy does good things but continues to miss the regulation mark when it counts. flaky

Yes he did.
I have been a fan of Sier,
But he was very ordinary tonite.
Went off tonight feeling very sick according to the tv reports.
We will see what the problem was tommorow.

I would like the board to show some leadership and guts now, right now.
Let Bucks know that he's unlikely to get another contract and instruct him to give what untried players we have a go, so at least the incoming new coach knows exactly what the situation is with the entire list.

No they should just remove him and pay him out, leaving him in charge once you know you're going in a different direction only serves to do further damage. They must exit him immediately, as embarrassing as that may be.

He has no heart.
He can only play a ruck rover style game and that is not good enough.
Bite the bullet and dump him into the VFL.
He will get the message or he will become a good VFL player.
Side note Keffie killed us tonight.
Bux didn't rate him
Yes but football and victory doesn't define Brodie
It is obvious to me that Brodie has not got white line fever.
I really think he does not care that much.
He tries somewhat but there are other things more important.
He will probably end up in a zen monastery one day.
He needs to get a injection of junk yard dog into him.
But it wont happen because deep down he doesn't care.
It is so bloody obvious to me
Gosh I hate to think that this is true of Grundy ..he really worries me. There doesn't seem to be any aggression or desperation to his play.. You know that saying, "Nice people come last"

I actually think Grundy is trying too much and it is stifling his ability to read the game. His centre bounce technique is all wrong - he jumps at the man early and then has to readjust his attack on the ball in an attempt to get it to our rovers. He needs to be coached better.

As usual, the players didn’t execute FIGJAM’s game plan.

FIGJAM no Premiership as a player. And none as a coach. 25 years at the club and no Premiership. A quarter of a century and no Premiership. Think about that for a moment. Do you reckon this obsession with him has to end at some stage? I mean, isn’t it insane we continue persisting?

Great summary, thanks.
Feel really sad for IQ. Did so many fantastic things tonight, but the stats say 5 goals were kicked on him. will really dent his confidence, without reason.
As you say, Checkers is an absolute gem in terms of his solid skills and unending effort.
Mayne did a few strong things after I blasted him in the thread, but overall just doesnt do enough while other teams are unleashing their draftees from last year, while we are not.
Agree, JDG kept forward for too long and unable to impact the game.
What i have noticed however is that our players are utterly incapable of improvising and creatively making adjustments themselves. No doubt this is also a product of coaching style: i am the dictator, and you must do what I say and nothing else.

It's not just the result - the way we are playing is even more concerning. We're not learning anything new, what potential do our young players have if we played a more attacking game style?

Can we swing some permanent changes for the rest of the year?
- Let's see what JDG can produce with 70% midfield time.
- Bite the bullet and move our most capable forward Darcy Moore into attack to support Checkers. I would even give Howe a go up forward just to shake things up.
- Lets play the kids and see what they've got. They couldn't be do much worse than WHE, JT, C.Brown, Mayne etc.
