So obvious what the problem is. Aside from depth and disgraceful recruiting and list management, this group wont have a go till changes are made, simple as that.

Until some coaches or players go, get used to it. No team unity anymore, cant be more obvious.

Well, I was going to post something, but after reading everyone's thoughts, it's pretty much summed up what I've been thinking.

There is no heart. At present, there could be a couple of players that are going to be up for trade, or delisting at seasons end.

Very disappointing. Everyone elses posts sum up how i'm feeling/thinking too. No heart at all. Got the ball in the F50 but no-one there to convert or mark. We kicked to Ant when he had 3 to beat. No crumbers, no helping each other out. How bad were our kicks in too? We just turned it over to Freo so many times. Embarrassing.

Thought Mullins and Kingy did well for 1st gamers. Guy is doing well and freeing up Josh but I don't give a stuff about ruck contests I want clearances and we got smashed in the centre and at the stoppages. When we win the clearances we usually win the game and it aint happening.

How great is Benny J playing, Josh always tries hard and has a crack. What has happened to the Lica and Burnsy of old? Just missing something. Williams (*shakes head*) why Mick why? Would have liked to see Goughy get a game over him. Are we lacking confidence? Are the demons of the GF still lingering?

Here's hoping the boys shake off whatever it was plaguing them yesterday
and come out firing for Anzac Day.

Where do we start......Nodepth,no interest,no body wanted to win the ball, frustration set in within two minuted of the start,FREO had more purpose than our guys did.
1 win 3 losses,2nd bottom on the ladder.....next week we will be bottom as Scum will bath us,Crows should beat tigers at MCG and then there will be THREE coaches looking for new jobs.
I heard MM saying on Fox footy that He enjoyed a challenge, but fair go Mick we havent got within 50 points of the low teams so far and there is only one below us
The local under 15 tiddly winks team could have beaten us this week end. They were BLOODY PATHETIC,and no one seems interested.
Scum wikll beat us by 100 points next week and that is even if LLoyd kicks 15 behinds,we will still be thrashed.
The game will be the Anzac Day Mascacre.
By the way the only reason thats its on at 1:00pm Sunday is that Thugby League has its 4:00pm replay,so Ch9 cant miss out on that .
Absolutely disgusted with the showing and next week BOTTOM.

the afl might as well give us the wooden spoon now. The reason why i say this is so we can get the 1st to draft picks on some good players in under 18's etc.

From what i saw on sunday was a disgrace!!!!. Most of those players do have a heart, can not tackle, can not kick to a player. MM needs to drop the folowing players if we were to have a chance of climbing back up the ladder i reckon. O'bree, Cloke, Lonie (i say this because he is not perfoming), R.shaw can go as well.

Why has mm got swan in backline when he is a forward and i still dont know why he has cloke in the forward line where he is yet to get a touch. The players are lacking confidence and the only way we can get this back is by beating essedon on sunday but at this satge is unlikely

here is a idea and it mite work lol. during half time there is kids in collingwood jumpers playing auskick and we should bring them down and show the magpies how to kick takle etc and then we caould see improvements coz surely no 1 can play worse then the magpies did yesterday.

even during the footy match nicks vs lsd people were playing better then some of the players

Here is what i feel we should do .

Burns - back to a half back flank , back pocket . Anzac Day 2002 , stiff not to win the medal in my opinion .

Clement - leave where is or pinch hit him on the forward line in the absense of Taz . Was a forward at Fremantle .

J.Cloke - either go back to Willy or play full match in the back line . He doesn't have to be the loose man .

Cole , Johnson - might be time to put them in the middle and tell them to go for it . Have pace and toughness and we have looked slowish in the midfield .

Didak - time to put him further up the ground and play him on the wing or in the middle and tell him to get a kick .

Fraser - can't fault Josh at the moment .

Holland - alternate between tagger and forward pocket .

King - was used sparingly against Freo . showed glimpses , must be played for remainder of season .

Licuria - seems to be off the boil at the moment . maybe take him from the middle and play him half back , half forward .

Lokan - was great off half back last year . keep him there .

Lonie - struggling . play him on the wing and tell him to attack with the ball at every opportunity , ie/ running with the ball , long goals , pinpoint disposal .

Mullins - looked good against Freo . 13 possessions in half a match . like King , must be played for remainder of season .

O'Bree - struggling . midfield might be past him beyond the occassional spell on the ball . forward pocket - half forward beckons .

Presti - full back is his spot . if needed to change things up during a match , place him in the forward line . was a forward as a junior .

Richards - play him for remainder of season .

Rocca - centre half forward - full foward .

Shaw - showed a little against Freo . maybe move to wing to utilise his pace .

Swan - was good against Freo . half back - back pocket .

Wakelin - a great start to the year . hope fractured cheekbone doesn't dent confidence .

Williams - is like a yo yo , play poorly for collingwood ....good for willy . either go back to willy for a solid 4 weeks or be told in the seniors for 4 weeks no matter what and try to find the form of early 2003 .

Woewodin - struggling . half back flank , wing , half forward flank .

Overall we need another tall , strong forward to help out Rocca . Cameron Cloke should come into the side to fill the void . Midfield needs rejigging - place Johnson , Cole into the middle . maybe youth and enthusiasm might do the trick .

Whats dissappointing for me,is that this isn't the team i love!!!!!!. Last year they tackled,HELPED EACH OTHER OUT!!,manned up and worked as a team and what happened yep,u guessed it we WON!!. I'm not blamming anyone as i believe its a team game and u win as a team,u lose as a team. What i would like to see is players working for each other again and put a good, solid effort in.

Come on pies!!!!!!!!!! God i love ya but its frustrating watching ya right now.

A lot of players will be worried come trade time. They should be worried NOW!

They have no heart. A hallmark of 2002-2003. Please get back to that form Pies or watch the season slip away...

I would do any-thing for a go in the Black & White. I wish some players shared mny passion.

Didn't MM say he was more interested in blooding the young guys for the first 5 rounds?

I suspect he is still doing some experimenting at the moment (aka Cloke and Lokan in the forward line, Wakes and Clement venturing a fair way up the ground, and Woey playing back a fair bit)

This is obviously not the reason we lost yesterday, but if MM is not steering the ship the way the guys expect him to at the moment, it doesn't help things. If the coach appears indecisive, then the players will surely follow. (Doesn't explain why we can't lay a decent tackle though)

Experimenting is the only reason I can think of that explains some of the guys spending so much time on the bench.

Unless we are just trying to throw off all the advanced scouts from the other teams and take away the predictability.

I fear I may be having a bout of wishful thinking!!

So much of football is confidence.

I'd be encouraging the players to run with the ball and take chances in the first quarter on Anzac Day. Let them play a natural game without overthinking and let confidence build from there.

When all you Henny Pennys and Chicken Littles have stopped squawking about the sky falling, can someone please remember to raise a cheer come ANZAC Day?

I'll be watching in Canberra and am looking forward to a good game.

Carn the Pies!

Mullins & King were good. Mullins looked very classy.

Ben Johnson WILL win the Copeland.

The demons of the GF are still lingering and will be until we win the GF.
